Pretty, what grade did you use.
What was the machine time/ design time?
Material was 6061T6
Design and modeling time was ~5hrs including back and forth with the customer until he was happy.
Programming was ~4hrs
Machine time ran to 6 1/2 hrs.
Tony, what design program do you use? If I were to send you an Inventor file, would that work for you? It won't be for a while anyways, but still need to make my triples
Hi Tony its Tony here ,what sort of machining centres do you use I find cadkey a good programe for modeling ,we have mainly Mazaks here I bet theres a few set up changes to do, am looking at making mine for cbr 929 now
I use a generic 3 axis vmc, would be nice to be able to afford a Mazak tho'. I have too much invested in Solidworks and Solidcam to change to anything else, plus the learning curve for new software is pretty intense, especially if nobody is paying for you to learn it.
There are a few setup changes, but you can minimise them by doing the same ops on both yokes each setup.
I feel your pain on the software issue I trained on autocad, cadkeys the opposite nice work on the yokes
my company has a vid on youtube of some machining ,AXIOM ACCESSORIES,just incase ya interested
Nice work Tony, the details is great.
noice work tony
