You running those wheels mate ? A set of decent spoked wheels in that size shouldn't be too hard to find if you decide not to use what you have.

What size wheels are you chasing Bob ? I'll keep an eye out for a set, or one or whatever comes up. GN 250 had wires didn't they ? They would have been a 16" rear though....

That's right mate, I did look at gn wheels but I think they would be to small, I will let you know what size I am after. I know there are wire wheels for the gs, And yes Ozzy the gauges are going.. lol

I may take you up on that mate, see how the cash flow go's.
    So onto today effort.
Cut some steel to sit the seat/tail on

Decided to move all the control box/reciffier etc today the hump of the seat/tail

Still need to shorten/lengthen some cables but make it look a lot neater me thinks.

So I welded so 10mm flat together to look at an idea for a seat mount. But I think I was to thick

    So I made a template

And cut it out of 5mm, seems much nicer and leaves me a little bit of height to play with.

I was going to screw this on instead of welding it cause it would be easier to remove if I required to.

5mm is a little overkill mate. Normal seat base would be lucky to be 1mm albeit with ribs and shape pressed into it for strength. 3mm would be a better choice if you aren't worried about it being flat.

I thought that but was unsure so went with the 5mm, would 3mm be better than 5mm or much of a muchness

3mm would be a fair bit lighter but still plenty strong enough. It would also be easier to work with if you want to put some shape into it. Ie rolling the edges to hug the frame rails etc
