    Superbike Magazine Ultimate Streetbike Series.

Bloody Hell! 25 years a go!
I did a few run's in this but was nothing like the quick guys.
Brings back a lot of memories.

Funny how the times dont seem so flash now,
but at the time they were a big deal.

Things have got quicker, but im not convinced everything is "better"

That was great! Nice seeing the old (then new) Suzuki's doing their thing, and great seeing Steve in the glory days.

Tough bikes. Built to go hard. To work well.
Not a mask, windowed clutch cover, German tail,
huge rear tyre or single sided arm in sight.
I remember when that was a streetfighter.
I think I liked it better then.

I did a few demo runs on my GSX1100ET pro stocker. My mate Alan Jones won the first one in 1983. We won everything in sprinting that year and then spent loadsa money to go faster. Me and Alan met for the first time in 29 years at Shakespeare County Raceway last September. He is gonna try for some 10 second runs on his new z1000 this year and I am building an ET to do the Pendine Landspeed Records meeting in June. There may be a USB reunion meet at North Weald in July.
