    Hey Trav, I reckon it was the oil that has saved it. The banjos were loose so it had a good coat of oil everywhere. It's a twat to get off but better than seized and rusted bolt heads.

    Old 2 strokes never rot, they just need a good wash....mine has been pushed aside that many times its not funny. Good luck.

    9 years in the making......been put back in moth balls again for the past 12 months whilst house moved and new shed getting built.
    Perhaps a little inspiration for you.
    2 Strokes are awesome because they are self preserving.
    So your going down the VJMC route of nut and bolt? Why not go a little modern with maybe an RGV front end, a set of micron or similar expansion pipes a flat track seat etc etc. Doing them all original is harder than modifying.

    Keeping her as original as I can. Just gonna ditch the points for a more reliable unit. For all intents and purposes, it's a stock bike.

    just find a like minded club , and club rego it ! No engineers ticket needed , and $88 bucks a year for 90 days riding .

    just a note on club rego, in QLD it needs to be 30 years old to qualify......... i am having trouble with the Bimota at the moment.
