Question NEW SHIRT IDEAS (Jan 2013)

    Ok kids, here's the story.....

I have run out of all the popular sizes for the ASF T-shirts from the past ranges. Other than kids sizes, random sizes and grils stuff, we are pretty much out of shirts.

Now, the next thing is my printer seemed to stick his head up his arse and get so deep in his "gangster hip hop" clothing range that he never gets the order right and also put the prices through the roof to boot.

I have since found another printer who has been suggested to me that is just down the road and plan on giving him a shot (by the way Dylan - thanks for your email mate. I thought that the shipping on top of the Shirt printing would make it too expensive, so I'll give this guy a go first).

The problem now is that I have to start everything from scratch as I don't have the old plates (although I may try ansd get them off the old guy if the new printer can use them).

Now, I was planning on doing a new run of new design shirts to try and get the ball rolling, get the plates sorted and hopefully leave the door open to add some more or even re-do some of the classics.

So that leaves us with a new design to come up with.

I bashed away at a few last night and the general concensus with the mods was to ignore the first one because it's shit, but consider the others.

If anybody thinks they have an outstanding shirt idea to offer us then let me know below, as well as letting me know what you think about these ideas (ignoring the first one as mentioned):

You may recognise the last one Davo.

Anyway, fire away with thoughts and ideas and we'll see what eventuates.

P.S. Hoodies will be in the pipeline soon as well.

Something with "ASF" and a simple black/white pic or line drawing or
caricature of Oldskools bug-eye'd Bandit ? Not a million miles away
from the current logo ? Along the lines of the classic Andy Sparrow shirts ?

Too complicated ? or too "already been done" ?

    Our version of this...

.... but closer to this... ( with ASF logo and Oldskools Bandit )

I like bikes in black and the streetfighter rider ones. Actually, i like davo's too, but since my oldest is now learning to read, i probably wouldn't wear it much.
Is it possible to update the front, because every ASF shirt looks the same from the front for the last, what? 8 years?

My mate will not need screens etc as he uses another process that uses heat paint transfer which wears better than screen print all he will need is art work.

    Hi Albi
It's been mentioned before, but the fact is only a handful wanted white and the cost to do a complete new plate for each colour to do the white way outweighs the demand. IF there were enough people wanting them then sure, but demand is the key.

Chris, for the front I didn't want to deviate too far from the original logo, but just thought a polish might do the job. What do you reckon?

Obviously you realise you can click on the yellow bar above the images to see the detail with the original size image?

    I don't have any ideas for a new T.

From the ones you have I like the "Hold my beer" one

Hang on, why don't you wait until the bike of the month thingy is done and use that bike for the pic.
Or do a photo comp/poll and the winners bike gets used.

I like subtle changes, too. It should still look like ASF, just new ASF.
Any way to make the logo wider but not as tall across the front?

?? You've losty me mate. Do you mean drop the URL? Lose the knuckles? The logo is the logo and I can't do much with it without changing the whole identity. A few guys have the logos engraved or otherwise on bikes and other things, so I didn't really want to go changing the actaul identity logo at this point or else they will all have done it for nothing. I really can't distort logos either, it's against my rules as a graphics geezer. Ask Nigel!
