    Sharky's VMaximus project

    Ok...where to start.....
All that remains of the stock bike is literally the frame, motor and swing arm.......that's it...everything else is gone.....fake scoops...air box cover...the lot..
Its now sitting on 04 r1 forks in 70mm slab yokes with a billet 17x3.5" wheel (pattern copied from stock 18"r)
There's a matching 17x6" on it's way for the rear.
The air box cover started life as an EX650 tank...slightly modified lol.
There will be a new tank...increasing capacity from 15 to 20ish litres......gonna be fun to do....
I'll get some more pics up as it progresses.....

here is a leaked pic of the back rim peeps
russ has been busy away in the dog box of a work space he has to fuck about in and this is the pic he sent though today.

he has been busy putting on his thinking cap and working out the rolling dia of the diffrent profiles between the 15 and 17 rear rim.
He is aiming to be close to the same fianl drive ratio just by the smart use of standard size tyres insead of the real drama of changeing drive ratio involved with a shaft drive or worse liveing with a bike that rides wrong cause its not right like a lot of these style bikes.

Of he went to the top with like a head like a sparkplug of a champion mono and a 2nd hand trye was mated to all that billet, one of the few billet piece's on this bike.... billet cost money you know. Must be the old cheep pommy blood or something.
Any way he tells me he only did it to check side clearance but I think he only did it to look at how sexy it looks.

I am very proud of my race....the fucking human race...........

    Interesting build Russ.
Modded Max's aren't as common here as in the UK.

Good to see you can get decent size tyres now.
    What's going on the rear?
I've tried 190/50 and 200/50 but 3 of mine have
6" rears and I'm realy liking the 190/55's.
Suppose it depends on whether it needs ground
clearance of the steering quickening / calming down.

    Keep the updates coming.
