but so far the only thing salvageable is the motor, back wheel, swing arm, front hub and electrics (I think).
I’m going to attempt to rebuild the frame which is ?(well its fucked) so I’m in unfamiliar territory with that.
I'm putting Wiseco 1015cc piston kit in and cleaning up the ports,
and to get to the point, I’m after a set of carbs 34mm in good condition off a GSXR 1052 86,87,88 if anyone has a set feel free to donate or give me a price.
And so it begins.

1015cc in a 900 barrel makes the liners very thin and they can distort or crack depending on how hard you rev/ride it.

a budget bigbore option would be to find a cheap gpz1100 barrel and use the liners in your 900 barrel and rebore for aftermarket pistons.

doing it this way you can have a ready to go barrel for the same cost of a new set of liners which are about $300USD landed.

I think you can even use gsx/efe 1100 liners as well from memory, will get the exact details for you when I see the mechanic next week.

Thanks EFE that’s great advice but it will have to be down the track as I’m still getting over the potential cost just to get it on the road, so for the moment its already been bored to 70mm dia and still has the cross hatchings so all its getting is a hone, the liners are 2mm thick, yes not too thick, but I only ride like a pussy anyway.

I've just been through it all with my Z mota.

if your carbs have got a big single nut on the bottom of the float bowls people will pay good money for them, enough to get yourself a set of flatslides/smoothbores.

Yes I have but there off an original Z1 I had a long time ago, this bike is a Z1A but no nut on the bottom, What sort of money we talkin???.
