Xmas Drags 8th December 2012 - Heathcote Park Raceway

Thats right ladies its on again.

our Xmas party / Drag racing day will be held at Heathcote Park Raceway on Saturday 8th December.

last year was a hoot so don't miss out this year.

we have locked in the date. the finer details are still being thrashed out but the main thing you need to know is that you need to get yourself a leave pass for the 8th and prep/build your bikes between now and then.

not only will we be drag racing but at this stage we will be having a go to whoa just to break things up a bit.

racing is looking to start at early arvo through to about 8pm (light dependant).
we will be having a bracket racing competition to finish off the days racing.
there is a burnout pad for us to use (its hours of operation to be finalized)
camping at the track is included in the entry price.
it is STRICTLY NO BYO and STRICTLY NO GLASS
entry will be per bike not per person. - 2 bike = 2 entry fees.
there will be a canteen for food and bar for drinks. (hours of operation to be confirmed)
tickets will be purchased at the gate. no pre purchase allowed this year.

ticket prices will be $120 per bike. and $40 per spectator

we didn't win any friends last year with both the amount of glass and the BYO so we have this year to make it right. next years event hangs on the outcome of this event.

as more details are worked out i will let you know but until then tuck in your skirts get some grease under your nails and start sorting your bikes

I was hoping for it to be a full weekend event this year seeing that the cost of the track could easily be covered if we assume that the number of people that turned up last year will turn up again. This year it seems like more people will be attending yet still only one day

its not that easy jules and matty there is a test and tune on the sun and if you wish to race in that it will cost you extra and we can still camp at the track it is still worth the trip over this way mate

Run again on the Sunday at the test and tune if you want a 2 day event that badly.
We only had 30-35 full paying riders last year.* If we get 50 this year I would be surprised.

If we ask for a 2 day event we could have one no problem but how many people will come when I tell you that for 50 riders only we all have to pay $400+ a bike?

Last year there was a test and tune on the Sunday as with this year and I don’t recall 1 person staying to race again on Sunday.

Taking that into account there is just no demand for a 2 day event.* I think most people had* enough of drag racing by the end of the day anyway.* I know I did.

It's not for more racing, more of having a 2 day event away with the ASF crew Deano. We could also see if we could organise something, especially if the WA mob are gonna be flying / driving over to Vic.

I have no idea on the costings of it, but I do recall a few people mentioning it would have been good to make it a full weekend event.

what about if the keen blokes on the sunday organise a big group ride that will make your 2 two thing with a bit of variety drags sat ride sun with a hangover countermeal pub lunch , just a thought

Sounds like a plan Scotty. I'm sure you guys would be keen as mustard to do a bit of a ride on our roads on the Sunday. I'd probably have to either leave the car and trailer somewhere or else go home before the ride to drop off the car and meet up with u guys on the bike.
