In case anyone was wondering RRP on the GSXR ones is $1271 & the ZX10R is $896 so it's more than a 50% saving on the GSXR ones & more than 60% saving on the ZX10R one.

A "GUN" has no rifling a rifle has a "thread" inside the barrel to add spin to a projectile the "Rifling" making it a "Rifle" Being a more specific term for a hand held long barreled gun . A gun does not "have to have" rifling "or not have" , if its a ship mounted unit then the term "Gun" is used for pritty much anything to heavy to be carried (usally mounted to the ship). Ground based "Gun's" generally are wepons that need to be maintained by a crew of 3 or more.

Originally all firearms were smooth bore , develoment of projectile shape size and patching got them pritty accurate (4" groups at 100m is quite possable from a smooth bore musket and hitting a man out to 400m was do-able)

Rifle's were first built in the 15th century but were only used by the well to do that didnt have to clean them , they became popular in the 18th when tech finally developed to the point where you could fire several rounds before cleaning was nessasary.

Accuracy of hand held "rifles" increased to the point where I can put three 5.56mm holes into a clover leaf shape at 200m on the odd ocassion if the wind is right and I'm in a good mood etc etc.

Modern "True Guns" (smooth bore med bore field pieces) cheat on how there accuracy is attained (several methods you can read about on the net elsewhere) Driving an 80kg shell 35 km and then dropping it in a 5m radius isnt a big problem though.
