    Swingarm bearings

Hey all, I just picked up my 08 R1 swinger tonight and it has ur normal needle roller bearings in both ends
But in one end it also has a sealed roller bearing like a wheel bearing that is smaller than the needle ones.
My guess is the pivot bolt was stepped.

Anyway, I need to make a sleeve to fit the Z1000 pivot bolt, but my question is, has anyone used just normal bearings like wheel bearings in the swingarm pivot?

As would be way cheaper and easier to just match the I.D to the Z1000 piviotbolt and O.D to the R1 swinger.

Probably won't last as long as there's less area in a ball bearing to spread the load compared to a needle roller bearing, but it should work.

I was a little worried about having more play....
Can you get thicker needle roller bearings......? I guess so ?

on the zrx arms i have put in older bikes they use the ball race bearing to hold the shaft and stop the tube that runs on the needle
bearings in place there should be a circlip in there as well
all i did when i ran into same prob was make a sleave that i pressed into the tube to match the old smaller shaft size and rane the early bikes shaft tho the lot worked well
I am very proud of my race....the fucking human race...........
