Thats my problem, If I get a fazer, Bandit or Bking I'll be adding something to it every few months (Brembos, ohlins, Marchesini, carbon & any other shit I can think of). If I get the MV I'll get a belly pan & throw a pipe on it, it already has all the good shit that Im after. It comes down to a 20k jap bike or a 20k itialian bike, I could have a jap bike in 3 to 4 months or get the MV in 12 months. You can put lip stik on a pig but its still a pig

So what your saying is you want to buy yourself a streetfighter. Mmmmm
Got to be more reasons why there are not many on the road 20k is much of a muchness for a new bike these days.

Dont get me wrong, I love jap bikes, there great value for money, witch leaves you with plenty of room for mods but then theres the other end of the spectrum... Ducati (streetfighter). They look good, sound good, charge like a bull with his balls tied but you (almost) see one on every corner. MV is somewhere in the middle of all of this, its an italian through bred with jap bike performance & its 7k cheaper than the Duke. Its still a lot of money but I think I'll be satisfied with my purchase. I must admit that if I get a Fazer or Bking, half the fun is the mods, somehow I just dont think my wife will under standlol

So I was on the money about buying a fighter like bike, mybe net rider is more the forum you are looking for.
Just because the Ducati is called a streetfighter it doesn't make it one, if your woman doesn't understand lay out a budget, if it's Italian you want streetfighter one because a streetfighter is a modification not a brand name.
Oh and every fighter I have built is a porn star a packet streetfighter would be the whore.

Now you got me thinkn about a Fazer again (Im a Yamaha guy), I could get it sooner, ride it for a year & then slowly add the bling (so my wife dosn't notice lol). The biggest thing I find appealling about the MV & Duke is the single sided swing arm, can that be done to a Fazer ?

If you're a Yamaha man, then buy yourself an R1 and fighter it. More power than the fazer. Single sided s/arm can be done on any bike, some might require more work than others. It also all depends on how handy you are with tools.

My current project is a long termer. K4 Gixxer thou which I'm fitting an MV Brutale tail, custom triples and wanna make a billet Single sided s/arm.

Bit far from where I am (northern suburbs). But few people on here would be willing to help out if needed. Anything from ideas to helping out hands on. You could also pay someone to do the work for you if you are that way inclined.

The main thing of Streetfighters are as the others said 'Built not bought'. If you ever need any help, there's plenty of people with opinions on here, some you may agree with and others not.
