    Dumb question, but should i glass in a peace of wood to bolt the new tail to the frame? Or should i mount the tail straight to the frame threw the glass?

    I glassed my RGV tail onto an original GSXR seat mount.
    Unplug the lights a the whole rear end came off with the key.

    a little bit of reinforcment never hurt with a fibreglass tail on a road bike what about some thin alloy glassed in behind the mounting points bob ,got to help it to some extent the days you are really on it just ask yella about mounting points and tails .

    Yep, its a possible mate, wana look into welding, some foam or rubber for under the glass and what not. Wiring aswell

    Looking good there Bob. If your worried about the mounting face place a few more layers of woven glass where its getting bolted down to. This can help it from cracking the original fibreglass unit. If you can get your sub frame welded mate do it. Would cost 2 parts of fuck all if you have already designed it and take it in as a complete unit.

    exactly what i did , fiberglass-ed the areas on the seat unit to be bolted for strength
