    Queyanbean enquiry

Possibly have a job offer to work in/from Queyanbean. What sort of place is it? Is it worth upping sticks from UK to live and work there? Is there a good biking scene around about there and are the roads good for thrahing around on?
Any info would be very much appreciated. I'm a drugs/alcohol worker for what it's worth by the by.

    Cheers Peeps.

Queanbeyan is Canberra just with an pretend line down the middle. I've lived in Canberra on and off for 19 years and the place is pretty good. I've also lived on the gold coast, sunshine coast, Tamworth and some unknown little country towns, so I've got a pretty good feel for other places.

Queanbeyan is like any other place, good and shit points, it cops a pretty rough name but thats just from us posh cunts in Canberra[]

It still has the feel of a country town but has the city conveniance (sp) of Canberra. House prices there are average, still some bargains though. Its close to the south coast and the snow and there are some good rides about the place. Want to know more, just ask.

I drove back from the snowy mountains via Queanbeyan just out of curiosity (it's also a shortcut around Caaaanberraaa) and it was very nice. The surrounding country areas looked good too. Just far enough from Can'tberra to not be toffy.

queanbeyan sux ass, simple as that.

full of single teen mums and abo's.

but the good part is canberra is about about 3 kms away.

and they is ALOT of great riding around here, plus its 2 hrs from sydney and 6.5 from melbourne.

kinda in the middle of everything you need, plus 1.5 hrs from the aus snow fields.

iv been all over aus and for what i like to do ie, hunting, 4 wheel driving, snow boarding, dirt bike riding and road riding, this region has it all over the rest of aus!!!

    Agreed.
Queanbeyan isn't called "struggle town" for nothing.

According to a mate, who lives over there,"Queanbeyan dwellers are a a bit more genuine and a bit less up themselves than Canberrans".
    (Could apply to most places)

Q:Why did the queanbeyan girl cross the road?
A:To pick a fight with a complete stranger, for no reason at all.

Excellent. Sounds just like the sort of people that'll keep me working long and hard. Sounds loke the girls will be up for a bit of treatment "input" and could maybe get cheap w**d as a "favour" for "private consultations".
    JR- London/Essex! Hmm.
My preferred option is Adelaide. Maybe I'll keep job hunting.
Any other comments on Quenbeyan much appreciated.
Have to say though, 5mins from Fyshwick sounds good albeit potentially expensive. Cheers.
