In Vic it's a V.I.V. (vehicle identification verification) certificate, I had to get one for the GS. Cost around $400 - $500 and took 6 hours. It's basicly to make sure the bike/car is not a stolen re-plated item.

Hey ICE, I know we were talking about this last time we met and I know you went to Dodgy Dougs for your VIV, but are they meant to check the frame and parts for structural soundness or is it just a rebirthing check?????
The way I've been told;quote:Originally posted by Iceman

1 you need a blue slip to check for roadworthy - lights brakes etc. $40
2 you need an engineers report if it's modified past "owners approved" stage. maybe $700
3 you need the viv or id check to make sure you haven't changed the engine or chassis numbers $450
4 Greenslip $400
5 rego $100
6 stampduty ~$130
Looks like I gotta stop drinking for a week
awesome large thats a great base for a build. so turbo or what??
cant wait to see the progress pics mate
Very nice start to a fighter there Large, with the sss going on are you swaping the front wheel aswell??
nice aquirement [is that a word ?] there large we wait with breath abated
The back wheel I'm using is a close match for a Carrozzeria front wheel so atm I'm waiting to hear back from them about if they'll sell me a single wheelquote:Originally posted by WHO-NIN

That's the rear wheel that I'm using in a crappy photochop mockup
what about the new triumph wheel?? surely they would be cheaper o get hold of, and i think it looks quite cool,
excuse the rest of my mspaint effort, i couldn't help myself :P
nice bike large,i also like the wheel, should be nice when its finished.....
not a close enough match if you want to get rid of both rims i may well be interested[?][?]
Hmmmmz your half way there but the rear is too low.......
Kawasaki would have done well with a naked zx10.....
nice largey
but im sure the tiller didnt cost all that much to get through
oh, and if you are getting stuff done by ben get him to blueslip it
i doubt u will need an engineers cert
Rev the fucker!!!!!
That rear only cost $220 and has the right bolt pattern so no messing around with hubsquote:Originally posted by hmmmnz

Carrozzeria sells wheels in unmatched setsquote:Originally posted by WHO-NIN

That's 12 spokes on the front and 16 on the rear.
If it doesn't look any good when the wheels are painted/polished the same, I'll prolly look for a Carrozzeria or PVM wheel This is the Carrozzeria 12 spoke
Or the PVM 20 spoke fronts that are the closest match so far
Yeah that's the worst case scenario, but I was talking to a guy who sells Harley stuff (300 wide arses etc) asnd he reckons the inspections have all gone up heaps.quote:Originally posted by fimpBIKES

As for the engineers report, I just thought it would be nice to be 100% legal
Welcome to Team Green Large, it's a whole new world of ultra high performance here. [] [^]
dude, if its 100% legal its not gonna be much of a fighter LOL
minimum u pay for engineers cert is gonna be $130 last time i checked
they will want to look at the swinger, suspension, headlight, subframe at least for it to all be legal
and its gotta have matching wheels
mis-matched wheels = [XX(]
Rev the fucker!!!!!
Hmmmm, Hmmmnz, what is that tail off in this pic ?quote:Originally posted by hmmmnz

This is sounding like a ripper Large!! What sort of dollars are you talking for those wheels?
Ben is a dealer for Carrozzeria now, and was saying the two wheels (can't remember if you get discs and sprocket too) were about 2600, so maybe half that just for the front.quote:Originally posted by gibbo
