    '88 FZR1000 wanted

Anyone know of a totally stuffed unrego'able frame kicking about ?
As long as the engine mounts are there its good..the rest can be fooked...no headstock, dents in beams etc..[}]

Changed the frame required after looking into it...

I saw a legit R1 and what looked like a GSXR1000 at the scrapyard before Xmas. Both were severely accident damaged . Know the R1 was an R1 because it still had the compliance tag on it. The scrappies generally don't sell frames back into circulation however but I have gotten a couple off them anyway(they often have useful parts still attached) because I know a bloke that works there. But the 2 frames in question had been picked clean so they didn't interest me. I really doubt they would still be there as they have a quick turn over.

No worries mate, unless you happen to be there/talking to them again
I'll check out some of the local (Brissy) wreckers next week (might have to chuck a slab in the back of the ute first)

I happen to have an R1 '04 frame that's near perfect except that the VIN number has been blacklisted.

Mmmmmm.....that could be just the job.....
Its only for a idea I have swelling in my head so something I can hack up would be perfick.
I take it this is the frame from your 'pallet bike' ?
How much you after for it ?
I will have to look into couriers to get it shipped up here...its a 2000k round trip otherwise.

Yep, it's the pallet bike reject. PM me and we'll work something out. Not worth much to me now.

Sweet mate. I'm still keen to see if it may somehow possibly maybe work. As I said (somewhere)I'm gonna go to the local bike shop and have a measure up.
    I'll be in touch soon.

Both of those spars are adjustable to a certain amount ie. the have a collet on one side that's screwable (me so horny) in and out (me so very horny).
The gap for the top spar is between 148mm - 155max.
The gap for the bottom spar is 160 - 166max.

As for those light measurements - somone replied to your thread about them with the dimensions.

Sharky, those forward top mounts are welded in, so you could remove them and add your own if you needed to.
