    Z1000 shenanigans at Heathcote Raceway

    I got about 15 passes on Saturday with a PB of a flat 11.09 @ 126.9mph.
Fastest through the traps was at 131.12mph.
I had both the 954 Blade & ZX10R until about 2/3rds of the track and then their fairing did it's thing with that aerodynamics shit and I was left behind.
I tried oh so hard to get into the 10's, but couldn't.....
    I had a ball, regardless!

It'll be to do with the guys you use to host the photos mate. They don't want their bandwidth used. I can't see them either unless I take the URL from you post and paste it into a browser. You'll have to use someone else or post them all to the ASF server in the reply area.

Put a Chuck Norris sticker on your bike.

Nice pics, are you driving it off the line with a slipping clutch or dumping it and riding out the wheelie ?

I used to dump my B12 off the line and then spend all of first gear on the back wheel. The bike would climb into the midrange and then lift right up so I would ride along on half throttle for a while. But then I changed to driving it out of the hole on a slipping clutch and found the front wheel didn't come up nearly as hard and I could control the height and keep it closer to the deck.
Dropped about three tenths just by this change of riding style.

have you tried playing with your suspension, that can play a big part in launching, as well as tyre pressure... i changed my suspension and made the rear a bit softer and lost some tyre pressure, i think i took it down to about 18 and that helped me lose 2 tenths...

Cheers dazz for the wise words!!!
I was slipping the clutch on launches and it semed to launch quite well.
I was told that dropping the forks through the top clamps would assist in keeping the front end down but have also been told you can get speed wobble at high speed.
What suspension changes can I make to assist me?
    Cheers.

Only lower the front if you do the same to the rear,
best to strap the front so its not trying to push the front up but trying to carry it
lowering links are a quick simple fix for the rear.
suspension adjustments like full rebound on the front and less comp on the rear& more rebound on the rear too can help as long as you don't bottom the suspension out

Coming out again next weekend ?
