The Mad One[]
We all met up at The Pie in the Sky on the Old Pacific Hwy at 10.00am and after a quick intro the bikes were mounted and the Getz was in hot pursuit. It was as boring as bat shit in the car but I had my 2 boys with me and they were pushing me to "go faster dad!"
Went north along OPH and then along Peats Ridge Rd where I lets the Getz run free and pick off the others with relative ease[8D].
We stopped at Peats ridge for a fuel stop for the Mad 1 and it was here that I parted company with the guys so i will let one of them take it from here.

Had a moment on a 25k corner. It tightened up a bit and then a bit more...so I hit the brakes to stop from hitting the Armco...while my sphincter tightened up a lot[:0]
I got away with it but heard a bang behind me where some bloke had followed me and dropped it.
I stopped around the corner, and one of his mates pulled up so I asked if he was ok...and he was.
I wasn't sure if I was involved in his accident in a legal sense...but his mate reckoned he should have been watching where he was going...
Anywho...to cut a long story short...on the way back there was another bike pranged at the same spot.
They call that corner "Lemmings Corner"

Going downhill just before you hit the river flats there's a 25k corner which is ok to start...then it straightens then immediately tightens into a virtual right hand downhill and off camber corner...immediately followed by a 15k left hander. Mundy called it the "Corkscrew"
I've been through there many times, but usually uphill so It's heaps easier.
