    Just arrived in Australia...

    Wassup!!!

    i just arrived i Oz a few weeks ago and I'm already regreting having to sell my bike, but it is hopefully for the best to try to start a new life here. I've been going around for the past few weeks and haven't seen to many bikes around?? Bikes here are cheaper than back home, but still not sure of the prices. Also, I checked in your guys events but didn't see any new upcoming events!! Do you know of anywhere around Melbourne where there will be any bike gatherings in begining of Jan, or towards Sydney end of Jan.

    I will be looking round to buy myself a bike over here in a few months when I get back to Melbourne from doing some travelling around the country first. Might as well enjoy it befire I have to start looking for a job again...

    Any info you guys could give would be great.

    good to see another convert to our shores. welcome to streetfighters aswell mate. where you from? what whereyou and what do you plan on riding? as for gatherings i shall leave it to the east coast locals.

    I'm from Malta. Europe

    As for bikes, I had a few back home, started on an old Suzuki ER125, then went to a Suzuki GT250X7, sold those two to buy a new Aprilia RS125 which was soon sod off to buy a Honda Hornet 600 which I tricked up a bit and kept for nearly for years. While owning the Hornet I had also bought myself a Yamaha XT400E as an everyday toy, but then sold both those bikes to buy myself a Yamaha R6.

    I'm into anything that is fast and has good handling and loves to wheelie. I'll try to get a couple of pics asap.

    I'm looking for anything in good condition form a 750cc up. Fighter or naked or racer...

    I don't know of any big rallies in the next few weeks (but I could be wrong...).
    Dunno what you are into, but there are a few spots in NSW where there are bikes every weekend, like up the Old Pacific HWY to the North of Sydney - the "old road". Or the pub at Wisemans Ferry, Wisemans road is abit of fun.
    The NSW club road racing season is starting end of January at Eastern Creek if you like watching that sort of stuff?
    So you into wheelies, but you havn't owned big bore bikes? Should get yourself a Gixxer or a Bandit!

    I'll hopefully get my hands on gixer as soon as I find work and start getting some cash. It will be in a few months time though as I have a bit of travelling to do first, but if there would be anything like the 7/11 I'd definitely be into that.

    Do you have any pics of the gixer cutcat? could you email them to me

    Welcome aboard Wacky. Yea, sorry the events area needs updating. Check the events section of the forum regularily. For instance, I have just posted the Confusion Rally to be held in the next few weeks in Vic. Meet with a few of the Vic ASF guys and go to it with them.
