Nov 25/26 - Weekend meet at 1770 near Gladstone

Ok boys and girls. Here a chance to catch up with our Nth Qld members. November 25/26 2006 - we'll ride up for a night in 1770 and try and sort a pub for the night. If anyone has any suggestions or is familiar with the area speak up now.


"A completely sealed and tarred road reaches the Town of 1770 from Bundaberg, 120 kilometres to the south, with a partially sealed and tarred road access the town from Miriam Vale in the north."

If you're in for it pipe up now and if anyone klnows guys that may be interested but don't visit the site often (or miss stuff like this) let them know.

As you know the site I am building is not finished, but I have tourism meeting next week, if I can get an Idea on how many rooms are needed I try and get you a group discount, the roads into 1770 are great all sealed, accommodation in Agnes Water would be the go, Tavern close by, thou the Tree at 1770 on the waterfront is good value, but accommodation may be the problem, only 7km between Towns.

It'll be the last trip on my current back tyre...will have to make sure it's nice and bald by the time I get back.

Dave will know tonight for sure, might have to get a new set of tyres for the bike that im going to use but that is easy taken care of, i was looking at goin through to Gladstone and catch up with a few people. catch ya to the track

Ok getting close now so who north of Gladstone is comming and when are they leaving,

I'm looking at leaving Townsville late friday morning about 11.00 ish and going through to Gladstone. I am taking my van as i don't have a registered bike to use for the weekend, and will be the pack horse, and bike ambulance if need.
What time are you blokes from Gladstone going to leave for 1770 and on what day ( i asume it will be saturday )

Next....... what has evey one form up here done about accomidation, ust askiing befor i make arangements next week

Have you seen the SE QLD version of this topic mate? There's a house on the beach up for grabs at $35 a head if you can get 7 people together. If I had known earlier I would have gone for it but i already booked.

i'm a maybe at the moment n don't need accomadation i'll b heading on down to brissy to visit my kids,i'll head down friday then coming back on sunday night if i can make it. it would be a good get together...
