The rear spring isnt shortened - the shaft gets shortened 5mm which through the linkage drops the bike rear by about 2.5 inches. For those interested, the stock height will want to drop away from you in corners, cause they are so twitchy but lowered it feels so stable its unbelievable.

Just put the twin Mikuni flatslides on large!

    This is my '02 XR 650 R I put together a while back, [}][]
Victorians would probly have seen it somewhere coz I used to take it to all the major M/C events (WSBK, GP, World Motards at Broadford, M/C expo, etc)
I sold it about a year ago in enduro trim so I still have the RGV wheel setup (now fully polished) to go in my '97 XR 600 when I get around to repairing the subframe (I flipped it) [V]

I had heaps of laughs on the 650, with road gearing It'd do a genuine 190 kmh, wheelied in all the gears & was untouchable through the Spurs. Motards are awesome fun, not too practical but who gives a fuck?
I think it's time to fix the 600.

Pretty cool...even for a Hunda TK

My mate's got an XR650 motard that's been "Ballarded" whatever that means. It is loads of fun on the back lanes.
