Just about every bike under 300cc is stolen and burnt in the trackside campground bonfires

    i am definatley going.
when i heard that motogp is dropping to 800cc (next year) i asked around & decided that if this is the last time ill get to see live, loud, full blown motogp bikes, then i am there.

i lucked out & booked a house for accomodation!!!
2 mins from the pub & 1 min from the beach right in the heart of town.

there are 8 beds that unfortunatley are all taken -
BUT, not all have been paid for!

if any spots come up, ill post 'em here to see if some fellow asf members want in.

the only thing left now is to decide on which grand-stand to park my fat arse in...

From experience TJ, the best grandstand is at Siberia corner, you can see approx. 3/4 of the track from there & even better if you get a seat up the top (at the back of the stand)
FWIW only snobs have grandstand seats, you'll miss out on all the fun & games with the REAL race fans. [^]
I'll be up bright & early Sundy morning to do the <s>stagger</s> walk from the campground to our favourite spot on the hill to stake out our claim, Deano & Foxy will confirm that it's the best spot to watch from. [8D]
How are our ASF flags coming along Gix??

Ok. This is a bit groovy. Apparently the standard size flag is a 2yard flag (1800x900). For that you wanna be really keen as I got quoted $330 just for set up costs and then $308 on top of that for 1 flag, $253 for 2 and then $239 for 3-9 flags! Even as a joint effort, that's pretty mental. Anyone know of any other suppliers or suggestions?

Just back from the Donington motogp, bloody loud. Next WSB at Brands Hatch, then back home for the Ulster Grand Prix at Dundrod. UGP should be good if McGuinness goes well, expect a new outright lap record faster than the TT (probably around 130+)

My inside source for all things WSBK & GP has given me accurate mail that the Trackside campground is nearly full as a result of Linz & his mates sticking a fucking great racetrack in the middle of it.
I'll be booking my spot tomorrow morning & I'll ask how many spots are left & let yuz know asap.
My advice for anyone wanting to camp in the REAL campground is book now to avoid having to stay in the 2nd rate Highside campground with the likes of Gibbo & his 80' luxury Winnebago
If we get enough members in Trackside, we can set up an official ASF "compound" - that could be fun
    Only 43 more sleeps ! []
