Fimp,personally I wouldn't use aluminium for the bands,all bands on can's are either stainless or Ti cause their purpose is to act like a clamp around the skin to keep it tight on the end cap,.8-1mm stainless is fine. On a carbon can you should use a smear of copper,red or black silicone around the end cap before pushing the skin into place,this takes some of the load off the rivets & there's less chance of the carbon wearing loose because of heat & vibration.

this can was rashed up on the front before hand so all that nasty carbon got the BOOOOT

Anyone need a pipe ? I've got a Yoshi RS3 SS pipe 2nd hand lying around that would be awesome cut down.
It's got a tiny dint (from a rock) in the bit you'd chop off .

It's a right side, it's SS , it's 57mm inlet
Thanks a heap Ben for the How-to. I thought Id try it on my el cheapo can and ended up cutting close to 200mm off. It wasnt too difficult when following your instructions. Still gotta finish it off tomorrow and polish it up, but I thought Id just put it on to see how it looks and sounds. Good on both counts!
