By the time the bike backed off the point was well and truly proven.

So all you jet fighter pilots and car owners can officially STFU

Yea, I remember having a go with a Lamborghini back in England in '92 on a Fireblade. It was the M5 (Tony will know where that is) and there was a single lane merge for road works. We had a rolling start from about 25mph and both caned it as we opened up to 3 lanes again. I pulled away like he was sight seeing and kept watching in my mirrors as he was leaving puffs of tyre smoke on the gear changes, and then he slowly crept up on me until we hit 135mph and he came past. By then, point was proven, you keep your $500,000 car and I'll keep my $15,000 bike.

theres been a few comparo's over the years..

some pommy mob done one with a duck 999 and a lambo gay-lardo. round the track the duck was consitstantly faster in all sections.

locally, and recently AMCN done a test with the porsche 911turbo??? and a stnadard gsxr1k the gixxer won.

so wheels car magazine up the ante.. using a gumbella tuned porsche gt_ $660,000 worth of car, it was pitted against a stock R1 all 18k worth. the R1 won.

and this video.. tho i didnt check the link, i have seen before. the bike tears off but throttles back and with good reason.

few years ago, the airforce and some v8 supercar team done a challenge.. the v8 supercar was faster till just before the point where the F-18 would have to take off.. it roared past the car then took off.. the turbulance put on the car was enough to cause it to spin out on 2 occasions. so you could imagine the forces the rider would have to go through if a plane took off right next to him.

    GO BIKES! haha

    cheers.joe.

Didn't see the bike return to the startline, I guess he got blown onto the grass [then slid to a stop from 300K's?], as the jet fighter took off, no doubt reaching for the afterburner.
He was waving hands and looked pissed off, rightly so, the bike wins hands down, then gets blasted off the tarmac.........typical[V]
