ok got it all sorted
the airbox fits so it will get used along with a hi flow filter.
it actually is easier to fit with the 1100 motor in the 750 frame than when the 750 motor was in there.
thanks for the advice

Look at BikeBandit.com and they'll have K&N (part No.RU-2922) dual pod filters to suit your bike at about $157US (postage included) or just go for the BMC's like DAVO suggested. If you can't wait the K&N's. The K&N's for your bike aren't sold in OZ because most people are only after filters to suit the airbox unlike us [xx(] so it's pretty hard to find them for sale.. even on the net.

Managed to get a pair of BMC pods from Dynobike in Morrabbin and paid $150ea.
I got a mould number off a pair of k and ns that were fitted to the same bike/carb by a guy off OSS and emailed that number to K&n in the states and they said that that mould was only used on 2 different filters and the closest been the RU2922 that you picked out. It was still 10mm to small in the spacings and 2 mm to big in flange diameter. I required 58mm flanges with 85mm centres.

and this is a pic of the bike with the 1100 motor in and the pods fitted.

Nice work Deano, How well does she go now ?

pretty good, real chunky mid range. the pod filters sound awesome over 1/2 throttle.
always want more tho.
got another 1100w motor and carbs in the pipeline if the price is right (the guy just gotta did them out from under the bench)
then might have to have a talk to ozkat about the forced induction thing.

Deano...I found it,looks good.My rims would look good on that
Ah... Deano... I have a 03' r1 seat on order for my bike atm [:0] shit! Looks nice with the polished frame and don't worry. The finish on mine will be quite dissimilar. Whats your opinion on the airpods tho? Has it affected the fuel consumtion that much? Luke.
mundy - will give you a call
luke - not sure on fuel and realy don't care, but i havn't been on a long ride to find out. I used to get about 190 per tank before i would hit reserve with the 750 motor so will be intresting to see how it goes with 1100 and pods with 142.5main jets.
The pods are great - the induction noise is awesome over about 1/2 throttle. I find myself winding on about 3/4 throttle in top when going from a 60kph to 80 kph zone just to get that induction roar.
yeah they would look sweeetquote:Originally posted by totaldamage
