COM: It sounds awesome dude, I can't wait to see it when it's finished! I'll even come to the ACT to have a look! Well it's a good excuse for a ride anyway, plus highways are good for wheelies!

89 GSXR750 frame powder coated candy red,91 1127 taken out to 1216 all removable parts powder coated either candy red or chrome,92 usd front end,92 modified fairing and streetfighter conversion(see other post) 2003 GSXR rear shock,2pac painted and polished wheels,V&H titainium muffler, steering damper,K&N pods no airbox, every other bit of alloy that isnt powdercoated is polished and i still have black snot to prove it,all possible nuts bolts and allen keys replaced with stainless.i have no idea what it has cost me so for cause i have to eat all reciepts so the MRS Ozkat never finds out things she doesnt really need to know. before the rebuild i had 138hp hopefully with better filters and a new exhaust 145+hp. if not ill look at a stroker crank with a 1340 kit (should get around 1400-1450cc) or a turbo or both.

K1-K2 GSXR subbframe/ducktail goes real well on an Old Skool Gixer... Mine's going to look hot as when it's done! Umm luckily I got mine for a good price, but otherwise complete units are pretty exxy... if I were to do it all again I'd get a Unatec (I think) seat unit, they bolt onto the standard subframe, and you can get RGV, 916, 3/4 916 etc etc... Pretty sure anyway! 3/4 916 would look cool as, and there's stuff all of them in Aussie too, so it'd be unique... My 2 cents...

Naked bike Sydney-Canberra no worries, I'll do it in a heartbeat! Sydney-GP on a Naked bike, SHIT YEAH!!! ZXR did it last year and he was fine, then again we spent a good part of it on 1 wheel!

My everyday ride is a 96' Suzuki GSF1200S Bandit that has been poked with a sharp stick while still looking stock-ish

Being built is a GSXR750F engine in a GS1000 frame. CBR500 wheels(yes a 500 Grey import), Vmax forks, Kawasaki Mean Streak seat & tank(I wrecked one off and still have a lot of left overs). The exhaust is half Bandit and half a set I found on the side of the road(but it matches up!!!) Our clubs resident Man Of The MIG, Tony, is booked to do the mono shocking, lower the seat rails, brace the sucker, rake the steering head and re-work the rear of the frame. I'll be making the yolks, foot controls and handlebars myself. Everything will be engineered to proper standards so it will pass an Engineers Certificate at Mobility Engineering . Relatively all straight forward compared to my last couple of projects.

It varys from state to state with NSW being the hardest to register them in. In NSW you need an Engineers Certificate from Mobility Engineering in Hornsby and if you are lucky it will be registered as the year of the frame & not the year of testing(2004). Our blokes have a fair bit of experience with this so I can answer many of the questions on the subject. For things like a bolt on seat sub frame they are only tested on the seat area and only cost $300 as opposed to $1000 for a full inspection. You can get lucky and have someone blue slip a 7/11 or 7/12 but I couldn't recommend anyone that would. Some of the tricks are to get a frame that has been registered in NSW before as any out of state vehicle requires a trip to the inspection station were they are very thorough. Had the inspection gig recently with a 1 year old Ford that we got at Auction and it was compulsory because of it being last registered in Victoria.
