I've been studying the top photo, and I think you should jack the rear suspension up a bit, itlooks as if you have too much rake on the front end.
Personally[and its ONLY an opinion]I think the top rail of the frame should be closer to horizontal than it presently is.
Then, when you rebuild the arse end SHORTER.... it will still be higher than the tank by a 'smidge' [technical description, 'a bit']
But then you could always tell me to....[insert cuss here]
I like the rearsets, might get something like those on the ZX750 turbo project that I'll get to someday, when I get my garage back from the pile of construction shit that is bathroom renovations.....

    How're they hangin
Mate, far be it for me to tell you how to streetfighter your bike, you've done a great job already.
IF[and I do mean IF] that bike was mine, I'd get me some new suspension links to lift the rear a coupla inches.
    The powdercoated triples look great

I'm running stock micunis,i think they are 38mm but i'm not sure...!They are jeted by my mechanic(i don't now what jet he used,i'll ask and tell you)

1)The first problem is that at the low-mid rpm section the motor doesn't rev or opperate well
2)The second problem is that at the idle rpm the motor turns off if i don't rev it a bit

I'm thinking big jets is the cause of the fisrt problem
    Any other opinions????????

    what aircleaner is in it????

I've come across similar probs with 'em before.....

Also if someone has enlarged the air bleed holes in the CV vacuum slides it can cause it to rise too quickly and give a lean surge or flat spot thru midrange....

Adjust ya idle up a bit higher....

Ahhhhh just realised it's had an accident...... I'd be lookin for an intake leak .... the carb bank may have been knocked off in the accident and it may have a BIG intake leak ... probably hard to see..

Remove the carbs and put some rubber grease on the boots and put 'em back in...

f that don't fix it we'll look at some other things

Wow Peter! That looks bloody great mate. I'm sure Deano will be interested in this one. He has virtually the same bike and is just working out what to do with the exhaust. That looks like the answer. Check his bike mate and see how he did his tail unit to tidy it up: http://www.streetfighters.com.au/for...archTerms=tail
