My brother posted a YouTube vid of the day. He follows me for a bit, then smashes past me on the straight a couple laps in.
A little bit of traffic for us to get through.

Good stuff, I had to knock back a track day there on Saturday bit like a root, one you knock back is one you'll never catch up on. The Tuono goes ok.

I had a coolant leak in the V of the motor. Tank up, air box out, throttle bodies off, replace a couple hoses, replace the inside of the thermostat (since it's a pain in the arse, may as well do it just in case), throttle bodies back on. Just have to put the air box back on.
I'm looking at getting the suspension sorted, so I weighed the bike on 2 sets of bathroom scales. Only a third of a tank, and no coolant.
100kgs on the rear, and 85kgs on the front. Add 15kgs for fuel and coolant, and it's at 200kgs. The fuel and coolant will help the front end weight a bit.
    But 200kgs is pretty good.

heeeey, good to see you have healed up all good. VFR looks to be running well.
looks like you have been running into all the same radiator issues I had with the TLR
even with the custom one it was a tight fit and I had to watch the temperature in traffic and smashing it on hot track days

you booked for any trackdays this year? I need an excuse not to sell my little CBR trackbike
    Rev the fucker!!!!!

Booked for a superbike school in June with my brother.
He crashed at the s1000rr ride day 3 weeks ago. Discovered he had 2 broken bones in his foot on Tuesday, had surgery yesterday.
He wants to learn a bit more to avoid crashing again. We did stage 1 after I broke my leg, so it's a good way to get back on the horse.

    Sooo..
I did the CSS with my brother, but on the MT09.
The VFR wasn't quite ready. But i have been doing stuff on it.
Got the new reg rec wired up, including mounting it on the left side of the frame by the headstock - mounted off one of the mounts for the original coil packs.
i plastidipped the frame a gunmetal grey.
Painted my acewell dash matte black.
made some brackets to mount the headlight off the yokes, not the forks. Just modified some bunnings "make your own brackets" you know, the mostly pre made gal steel things.
tidied up the wiring harness, lengthened some things, shortened some others so that it was a bit neater running under the headstock instead of above.
got the airbox back on with 2 6th gen short stacks.
Have some more short stacks on order from honda - gonna try and make some dual stacks out of them. Or just give myself 4 short stacks instead of 2.
installed a blaster x integrated tail light in the ninja 250 seat unit, as well as some strip LEDs as extra indicators
Just need to get the front indicators and barkbusters back on, then i can fill up the coolant again and see if she starts after a while on stands.

Then i can get on to the next stage, getting the forks and rear shock re done, wheels painted, and forks anodized.
I think this will be a hilarious street legal track fighter.

Not much movement from the piston when i squeezed the lever (a few mm). Gave the lever a full squeeze and got maybe 5mm of movement at the piston. Couldnt imagine that having much effect.
For the princely sum of $80, i have a new slave cylinder on the way from honda. Not a rebuild kit, complete new slave. Seemed cheap for the whole assembly, so i bought it. It was in stock in Aus, so should have it in a few days.
Lets see what the next problem is.
Missed this when you wrote it - mine was like that, I took the cap off the master, wrapped rags around it, then used a g-clamp to force the slave piston in - it went with a pop, ejecting the fluid into the rags, then I put new fluid in and when it came out the bleed I did the bleed up and easily pumped the piston back out.

But yeah - $80, can't go wrong. I should do that too.

I like the "Stuff making the bike black, I'll just make everything black" approach. Luminous yellow wins over orange every time for me. Orange is so 1998 If you're doing that much colour down the bottom you need a decal on the tank and tail to balance as well.

Your half arsed is much better than what i can do, Si. I had one of the guys at work photoshop the wheels.

And yes, i am planning on hi vis yellow kinda colour. I like the splash of colour on the tank, too. I've got some rad shrouds from a yamaha xj6 to go on as well.

If you do go with that neon yellow, I can sell you a new unused RK HFO chain in that colour... HFO is not as strong as the GXW but fine for 750-800cc. Got a set of rim stickers in the same colour too.

    is it 530, 525 or 520 chain?
and some pics. one of my low tech spray booth, and 3 of the blaster x tail light with integrated indicators and additional strip led indicators. The blaster x is retina burning. I sprayed the strip led with night shades tint to make it blend in with the undertray a bit better.
