If you could somehow fit some CB1000R shrouds (like these http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/RC-Carbon...dbf694a&_uhb=1) would look ok i reckon??
If you'd still like that busted up Hyper side panel i have, flick me over some details and i'll bang it in the post for ya?

I got nicks slightly damaged hypermotard panel in the post today. Thanks mate.
I don't think it's quite right. What do you guys think? Could I chop it to make it right? Or is it not worth the effort?
And I posted that pic from my ipad, that's why it's fucking sideways.

    Nope.
The DRZ ones looked made for the VFR.
That looks like you zip tied a ducati panel to the side of your bike.

    nope....bin it.
If anything,it would have to be much higher so the line in the tank lines up with the panel, but it wouldn't cover your radiator.
I didnt think it would work,as the Hyper tank is very different to yours, and you'd have to butcher so much out of the panel to fit, there would be fuck all left of it...

cut the lower second fin off cut it through the "c" on the ducati to shorten it and line the top of the shroud up with the body line in the tank and I reckon it would look alright , just my opinion tell me to fuck off back to the corner if you like

    Look closer, cruise..
It was electrical tape, not bloody zip ties.

I guess I'll limit the ducati parts to wheels.

    So only semi-permanent then?

From experience, Ducati parts on a real bike can bring nothing but pain, expense and regret.

so i'm gonna go ahead with the hyper shrouds, but mounted sideways. So screw you all...
it covers the rad, and covers in the really skinny frame and tapered tank near the head stock to give the bike broader shoulders, if ya know what i mean.

it already has Ducati parts. And i have previously had a ducati that was made of ONLY ducati parts, and that was quite a good experience.
maybe it only happens when you mix Japanese and Italian v twin parts? Like organ rejection?

Its at 45degrees to how it fits on my hyper.....but like Latheboy says...it looks better......
How would you attach it to the bike??
Im sure most Ducati dealers would have a heap of busted up right ones from all the latte sipping poofs that have dropped their bikes on the way to their favourite Surry Hills Cafe?? lol

Should be easy enough to mount. Liquid nails, yeah?

The coils were originally mounted to the outside of the frame near the headstock. I have moved them under the tank, so that frees up a couple of holes, and because it had side mount rads, there are some more holes on the side to use.
I should be able to bend some flat bar to suit.

And I called frasers, no go, but I have found a guy in Sydney who sells carbon ones. Ducati aftermarket means carbon bling.
