I stopped by SMW yesterday and had a look around upstairs at their pile of body panels. Upstairs I found a radiator cover from a yamaha xj6n. Sorry for the shitty phone pic.
It will be angled up a bit more to follow the lines on the tank better, it is held on with electrical tape in the pic. I think it looks good, and will hopefully help with getting better air flow through the side mount rads.
The number on the side is from the california superbike school i did last week. They recognised my genius.
    Or maybe it was alphabetical.
What do you guys think of the shroud? And does anyone know anyone who has one for the right hand side?

Si, I gave up on trying to do a front mount, so started to look at rad covers and dirt bike shrouds. SMW used to be a wreckers and workshop, but now are only a workshop, but have a large stockpile of bits and bobs upstairs that they use mostly to repair bikes that come in. Or they let me wander around looking for fighter bits.

Fimp, no probs with scrutineering at all, the bike went really well, and I learned a lot. I'll post something about it soon.
The shrouds look good from the front too, they cover a bit of the leading edge of the rads. The bike is a little wider (maybe 70 mm each side) but still narrower than my legs.
The rads as they are are angled up at the front, ruining the lines of the bike.
The angles of the covers are much better than the rectangle of the rads, and draws your eye down, making it look more imposing from the side.

They look good mate, and the lines run pretty much with your tail unit. Much better then having bare rads. Wider isnt bad either for such a kinda narrow bike like the naked VFR. Good find mate!

I don't know of anyone who has right hand side shroud but Chase had both left and right Buelle Shrouds he was trying to get rid off.

Another quick "no pics" update. My father in law is coming out from Texas to see his new grand-daughter. I bought a cbr 929 rear shock on US ebay and am having it delivered to him.
He's going to bring it with him in a couple of weeks, since i didn't have to pay inflated US postage prices, it's only costing me $48US. Well pleased.

So, my father in law arrived from the US today, and with him he brought a cbr 929 rear shock that i bought on ebay, got it for $50, instead of the $250 i was told at one wreckers here in sydney.
Also , the 1098 wheel is getting closer at Bens. easier than he thouht, but no cheaper, ended up getting a complete ducati hub/spinndle etc into the vfr eccentric. Needed to get a 1098 rear disc and sprocket too.
Pics when it's on. Or maybe ben can post a couple.
