So i've been busy making new carbon rearsets and carbon top clamp. i took the angle grinder to my old carbon rear fairing and reshaped the underside and made a new carbon undertray to fit. i machined some risers to suit the renthal flat bars. I got some dodgy mob up at Brookvale by the name of Extreme Creations to a cnc billet bottom clamp. Still heaps to go but i'm having fun out in the shed.
I like the look of those rearsets
hey josh is your rear subframe stock under that single cowl is your bike an L series if so i want one of those undertrays as i cant find one anywhere cheers steve, that topclamp looks the goods mate.
is that the bike that was in rapid a while back mate looks familiar
Looking good Josh.
"I call it a Camberwell carrot as I invented it in Camberwell and it looks alot like a carrot"
yeah was in rapid a few years ago. lots of changes since then; motor, turbo, efi, extra 80hp. it is a standard subframe. it's a zxr750L model and those undertrays are very hard to come by. i just cut the shit out of mine to make the new one. have a look on www.redmonkey.com/7r
Looks good Josh, I reckon you need to cut a bit out of the brake lever to lighten it up a bit ( looks wise) because the rest of the rearset looks a lot slimmer now. Don't you love carbon & bog dust, looks like you've go a good layer all over the shed....
That tail looks fucking excellent, a really good example of thinking outside the square - that's what STREETFIGHTERS should be about - not bolt on bling shit... CUSTOM !!
Keep it up.
how did you make those rearsets? They look awesome!
i was lucky enough to get my hands on a bunch of 2mm thick carbon sheets from an aircraft manufacturing place. i laminated them together than used a combination of angle grinder, mill, router, and any other tool you can think of. pain in the ass, messy toxic shit that bluntens all your tools. simple really.
Nice, looking the goods..........
hey josh when you went efi did you ditch carbs or have you still got them,im after a set for my 95 750
i ditched the carbs mate. i actually gave em away only about 8 weeks ago. sorry mate.
bugger its hard to get good ones that dont cost a packet and cheap ones need a lot of work
I got my billet bottom clamp from extreme creations. Very happy. i trial fitted the bars and things and the bloody master cylinders foul on my top clamp. Does any one have a spare radial M/C lying around??? Photos to come
