Well, after approximately four and a half years and more money than I care to count my 1980 GSX 1100 ET streetfighter is finally finished (nearly) and road worthy. It’s been a long journey and a lot of fun with a lot of sacrifices and a lot of hard work but I ‘m delighted with the end result and looking forward to getting the bike dyno’ed to see exactly what this engine is capable of.
Without these people this bike would not exist
· Deano – Design and Fabrication. This man has an eye for detail that humbles meand strives for engineering perfection. Thanks mate I love the detail touches and improvements that you made for this project, particularly the oil cooler “bracket”.
· Gibbo Black Edge Autobody – Flawless black paint, repair and welding of grotty fuel tank and plastics
· Claude Lia, Claude Lia Designs – Superb design and application of artwork and good all round dude
· Rex Wolfenden T Rex racing – Engine assembly and set up, machining, crank work, gearbox work.
· Trevor Birrell – Cylinder head gas flowing and porting and three angle valve seat machining
· Clyde Wolfenden – Electrical work, machining and problem solving par excellence.
· Dave Exhaust Craft – One off design and construction and fitting of my s/s exhaust system
· Peter McWiggan Manta Engineering – Last but by no means the least. Peter was the guy that started me down this path all those years ago and to whom I probably owe the greatest debt of gratitude. Precision engineering, fabrication, frame straightening, design and fabrication of some of the best triple clamps I have ever seen, ideas, inspiration, persistence, patience, parts sourcing and allowing me to watch the development of his drop dead gorgeous XR 69 replica that he developed over months for the Philip Island International classic amongst other things. This guy has done more than most in making my dream come true and for that I thank him.
Looks Great Well Done Seems to be something missing after the headers
