A complete custom one- off for AUS$ 16.000! If that is too much for a custom bike- I can't help ya. Maybe you should take up knitting.

Yeah, went onto Egay Germany, searched for Rau, and kept getting gardening shit

Really don't know anything about either them or PSS. Plus I like the idea of getting a frame made up locally.

War Hound: this time we have a core of at least 2 goers on it plus an actual local manufacturer with a product, which is better than when that thread was written, I know cos I was one of the bigger shit stirrers in that one . Another 1 or 2 definites and we'll have enough for a small production run. Could be the start of an Aussie Harris/Spondon etc.

Point me in the right direction for someone that can build me the right style frame and swinger ( I like the look of the Spondon Busa frame) and I will be interested .. of course I have to finish this GSX1100F project first 8)

but you gotta think. what swingarm and tank would you run or would you spend another $1000 for a one off alu tank.

add the cost of a custom single sided arm and an ohlins rear shock and is starting to get a bit exxy.

Yeah well I thought if you are talking around the 10 mark for a hand made frame .. swing arm Ohlins suspension a tank and engine mounts and headlight mounts .. That doesnt seem to be a bad deal to me .. considering its also a recognised and (so I am told) reliable brand. Its all just thoughts at this point.. when I finish up with the GSXF then I will start looking to the next bike .. I think at this point a major shift for me is all I have looked at in the past is a "new" bike .. since I discovered this place .. "new" bikes are becoming less and less appealing 8)

Thanks Cavey, I'll keep that in mind mate.

What's 'close' by English standards? Here in Aus just up the road can be anything up to 100-150 K's away, whereas when I was growing up in NZ 100-150 K's was a case of get out the bags we're going travelling for the weekend (admittedly they're a little bit slow in NZ)
