Hey Mono or anyone, what is the best compression software. I make the vid small enough to put on Youtube and the quality turns to shit. Any tricks??
Try the DivX Converter, at www.divx.com

I use that, it has a pre-set for Youtube that sets it to the right size + compresses it nicely.

If it saves in .AVI try compressing it to an .mpeg or .mov file, they are both high compression formats and may work better.

I've always run mine with Pinnacle Studio and it has a Youtube converter however I have also used the DivX Converter. There is also a few tips on the Gopro website under Support.

Took it from 194MB to 54MB with about a 20% loss of quality using Movavi convertor to a .avi file. Worked ok, I'll wait until I get some more interesting footage before sharing on here though, pretty high benchmark around here.
