"It's the eighties and I'm down with the ladies"
That depends, if you're going I am definately not!!
Nah, I will be in West Aus instead.
It was disgusted at the World Superbike Championship at Phillip Island last weekend & as far as anyone knew 80s Freak was the only Mexican venturing to Bathurst but most of us were in agreeance that we should make an effort to have some sort of shindig.
Jojo's clubhouse in Morwell was one suggestion, I don't rember if there were any other options but nothing was firm... except Shano's arse [:I]
I am going at this stage but i will be driving up
Glenn Eason drinks and smokes and lends his arse to other blokes
Any reason as to why a national AFR has lost it's appeal?

Money to make it big?
"I call it a Camberwell carrot as I invented it in Camberwell and it looks alot like a carrot"
I will be going
Good question Ice, I was looking forward to Jindabyne again this year because I'd get to ride there this time.quote:Originally posted by Iceman

I can understand Blowie not wanting to organise it again because of the inevitable fuckaround factor that comes with large group bookings but I was hoping it could mostly organise itself seeing as the template was already in place.
I would have loved it at Jindabyne again is a fav place to ride and fun to get to. Bathurst is prob not so exciting as far as roads go for riding but never been there before so why not, good people helps.
Be interesting to organise a meet for the mexicans some time in Autum in the hills somewhere in Vic, there are so many great roads in the mountains maybe a pub/camp/room deal for a weekend ?
Kevington Pub is My sujestion roads are tight twisty pub is nice with heaps of room to camp right by the river rooms are avalable I think but there limited. Anyone Interested ?
a new bloke at work was from jindabine and his wife was in charge of looking after hotels and accom for small to large group bookings and told me they would like to offer their knowlage as ron loved riding in jindabine so if it were to become a national ride that may be one way???
Id be interested in that Red... Only probs is im gonna be off the bike for another month or so.quote:Originally posted by Redmohawk

Mish when your ready mate no rush is just the start of Aut how about we aim for last weekend in April ? Is the 29th 30th and 1st of May.
I'll talk to pub owners and see what the go is up there that time of year and what accom etc is avalable as its a very popular spot for bikes etc they have a stage for bands all kinds of shit big swimming hole for those brave enough to try spanna water lol
jindabine was achievable for the most of us who didn't have extra leave, Bathurst wasn't. I can't make it, depending on work would love to ride for the weekend.
Bathurst is a no go for me too this year, im up for a local Melb based ride that weekend with anybody else who cant make AFR. Any other takers?
I taste so good you'l want the recipe.
What's AFR?
And the kevington ride looks it would be a good one!!
AFR is the April Fools Run. It all started in 05 when a few of the nutters from here decided to have a catch up. It's been going every since.
Here's a link to some of the previous AFRs

As TK stated Myself and Shiny are going (trailering the bikes), it is a shame that it's not at Jyndy again but fuck it, its only once a year, we have taken the week off after it as well, going to hang around up there for a bit then head down to Toora for a few days in the caravan with the bike as well. To all those who will be at work for that week, have a great time , 'cause we will! Bahahaha!
