    Fireblade Fighter(SOLD)& KTM690SMR

The Blade has found a new home today.

    Price Drop.
    $4000 for Blade
    $9500 for KTM

    G'day guys,

Im gonna have to sell atleast one of my bikes.
I've only got a single garage, and next to no room left.
I'm hoping to sell the motard, and possibly keep the Blade.
Have another smaller project i'd like to have a crack at,but with zero room, something has to go.

    Fireblade Streetfighter
    • 12mths Rego. (10th Feb, 2012)
    • Brand New Michelin Pilots. (Front and Rear)
    • Complete 07 Blade front end. Includes Forks, Triple Clamps, Radial Brake Calipers & M/C.
    • 17in Front Wheel, instead of the standard 16in.
    • Braking Wave Front Disks. (Not eBay cheapies.)
    • New rear Disk and Pads. (eBay cheapies)
    • Braided Front Lines.
    • Sachs High Adjustable Rear Shock. (off a RSV-R Aprilia)
    • Tailriser. (to make full use of adjustable rear shock)
    • LED tail light & indicators, + LED Flashing Can.
    • Acewell Speedo
    • Dyno Jet Kit
    • Tag Bar Pins
    • ABM Grips
    • Pazzo Levers
    • Rizoma Bar Ends
    • Rizoma Style bar end Mirrors
    • Exben Rear Brake Reservoir
    • New Dominator Headlights
    • Full Alloy Custom Sub frame.
    • NFR 2010 Encouragement Award Winner. (read into that, what you will)
The bike is complete, and goes well. Handles great.
If you’re handy with the spanners, and a spray gun, and gave this the once over, it would come up great. I was hoping to do a SSSA conversion to it, and paint it up, but time and more than anything else, lack of room to do it in, has put a stop it. I only have a single garage, and it’s full of stuff now, bikes, pushies, work gear, etc, pulling a bike down will be impossible. Also, I may need to go OS later in the year, and have another little project I’d like to try to buy and maybe make a start on.

    KTM690SMR.
    • 15,000ks
    • 8mths REGO
    • Full dealer service history from previous owner, til I did the 15k service
    • Wings cans (plus standard ones)
    • Quick release KTM soft expandable top box/bag.
    • Metzeler M3s (95% front-75% rear)
    • New battery
    Bike is in excellent condition.
Comes with a new 15t Front sprocket, which I haven’t put on yet, as it seems geared too tall. Need to be doing about 120 on highway before 6th gear feels happy.
I also bought a 25lt unit of Motorex 10/60 Cross Power. This is the only oil recommended for the 690s, and I’ve only used up 1.7lt of it for its 15000km service. There is enough oil left for another 13 oil changes, or 32500 km worth of riding, if you service it every 2500ks, or 65000ks if you do it by the book, every 5000ks. The oil is worth around $600.
    The main differences between the SMR and the standard SM are;
    • Metallic Painted Shrouds, and Orange Frame
    • Cast Marchesini Wheels. (Lighter and tubeless)
    • Better suspension. Adjustable Compression dampening. The SM is rebound only.
    • Front Brake Caliper is a 4 pad Radial Caliper, with Radial M/C
    • Radial Clutch M/C.

Looking for $10k for the KTM, and $4500 for the Blade.

I don't get out and ride as much as i want to,so having to bikes for me is a bit of a waste.

Thats why i'd rather keep the blade.
$1300 bucks in new tyres and full years rego.
I'd get more money to cancel rego, and part it out,if i sold it for much less.
Just about all bikes are fucked for re-sale,fighters are even worse.

Are you taking the piss Jimmy???

Im hoping the KTM goes, coz i reckon the Blade will make a great Marulan and Wakefield Park track bike.
I wouldn't mind running it in the "Race your Mates" series at Wakefield, coz she handles good, and crash damage should cost me little, coz there's nothing to damage on it.

    Its a 94 model.
    About 80k.
Exhaust looks loud, but easiliy passed Marulans strict noise limits.
Handled great at AFR last year around the snowys, and even better at Marulan the other day.
I'd had a Modern Z1000 not long ago with ZX6R suspension front and rear, and it handled like a pig,i was worried the same would happen with this, but it feels solid, and it feels better than my 05 Blade Tracky.
I must've jagged it with the mods???
