Hey Jeff,i think a streetfighter column
is a good idea.just a suggestion, what if you have a guest writer each issue.that way you would get a broad cross section of the fighter comunity, one article from a "gitzy" annother from an "old bastard" that way we can share what were about...sincerely Morry

Rapid Bikes Magazine is offering Streetfighters from Australia and NZ the opportunity to be guest author of the Fightin' Words column! Each issue, a new author will be chosen

I think this is a great idea offered by Jeff. Seriously if your keen, great share with the avid readers "Your Story" if your not, don't participate.. no dramas..

Personally I don't have any insecurity/inadequacy issues, But I would love to one day be featured in Rapid or even SF mag.. Yeah I build my bikes for me with my tastes etc but It would be great to get it out there for all to see my hard work..

I reckon it's a great idea, as such I have started mashing the laptops keyboard, won't be sending anything in until it's at least legible let alone of a decent quality. As far as slamming TK, don't panic I'm sure he knows I'm being more than a bit sarcastic. Seriously tho, this is a great, if some what brave idea, I mean you've seen what some of us do to perfectly good motorcycles, imagine what we'll do to the English language.

I get sick of seeing the perfect bikes in magazines, I personally think it will be interesting and hopefully inspirational reading every day streetfighter stories

Can someone please explain to me why people seem to think it's the ultimate achievement to get a picture of your bike in a magazine?
It seems to me that if you need other people to approve of your bike in order to validate your work or make you feel good about yourself then you've got some serious insecurity/inadequacy issues going on.
I can understand pro bike builders like Ben or Brad wanting to have their stuff featured because it's free advertising, showcases their skills/services & is directed straight at their target market which is good business practice but what is the appeal to Joe Bikebuilder ?
The whole idea of people thinking they've 'made it' when they see their bike in a mag seems quite pathetic to me, what am I missing?
Ever posted pics of your bike online?
If so, you are a hypocrite.
    If not, carry on...

I doubt the majority of the human race has had an "original thought".

As you've seen, I can even make Jocks with cockney accents understandable.

Rod: Don't worry about the spelling. Hearing it from the heart is more important. My job is to make anything readable; even Pomgolian. . .
