    LKC 95 7/11 W convert.

Hey guys & girls. Ive been floating around this forum for a few years now, but havent really been able to add much to it. Well the other day I bought a bike I plan to change into a streetfighter.

Got myself a 1995 GSXR 750W. Complete bike running just no rego.

I pick it up thursday, and within a week or so it will have rego and then the fun will begin.
    Stay tuned for constant updates.

Hells yeah! As Rod said, great base for a fighter, looks-wise not much different to the oil-boilers, except you don't have to cut off the subbie and weld plates on if you wanna change the arse... can't wait to see where you go with it.
And as Gitzy said, lotsa pics please!!!

Off faster then a brides underwear mate! Im going to get rego on it stock due to needing a blue slip, and I know how much a pain it can be if i mod it up first. Should be on the road in 2 weeks there abouts.
Plans are at this stage to have custom tail, headlight and mask, belly pan and some risers with fat bars or low MX type bars. All the details of colour and style I'll show in due time. Plenty of pictures will follow with this thread, promise.

But she is finally home after a small trip and alot of rain to pick it up. Blue slip next Monday.

Well in the last week and a bit, Ive pulled the brakes down, and given them a decent clean out. Managed to get a stock system for blue slip as the one on the bike was craptastic and also installed a new rear disc. She will be off for blue slip in the next week.
I have also started ordering some parts for the fighter transformation. I got some renthals on the way, and also bought risers from Watto.
Just got to work out which tail section im going to use.
I have a couple of headlight units im lookin at also.
    Renthals Ive ordered

Headlight im looking at putting on

tail section im not to sure about yet

I reckon both that headlight and tail will look pretty good mate. What gauges do you intend using? Are you going to get an after market front guard to match the tail and headlight? Or modify the existing one with a grinder?

Hey guys, I know this is a bit lame to post up, but I got my first fighter parts in the mail today thanks to Watto! Bar risers that I actually like, big meaty and industrail, and watto had them for sale so I jumped on them.

As for front guard, im not going to use the stock one, its cracked in the wrong place's. New after market job to suit the lines im going with.
Dash will be a vapor unit as Ive already fitted one to my track bike and there small and easy to install with a bunch of usefull modes.

The old girl now has rego on it, and the tail section I've put up is on order and on its way to Australia. Now the real fun begins for the GSXR... More up dates will come as parts arrive and things get done.

So this arvo i spent a couple of hours in the garage, and removed alot of stuff that wont be needed anymore. Plus I have removed the wheels so I can get the tyres off and stripped back ready for the new paint and polish.

Dont look like much now let me tell ya...

Wheels are off the bike and tyres stripped. I removed all the disc's and inspected the bearings. Rear wheel's are shot to shit, so got them out and will buy replacements. Front will looks to have new bearings installed not long before I had bought the bike. I then paint stripped the wheels, sanded most of the outers back for polishing. They have been given to someone else coz I know they can really make them look like mirrors when done.
Then the spokes and inner rim will get a black treatment.

The frame is now bare bones with only the loom still in it and engine is out for cleaning and paint. Will have to replace most of the Frame and engine bolts as the crap built up on these just wont come good.
Enough of my dribble, pictures speak more then I can type.

Another weekend gone, and some more work completed.
Engine has been cleaned and painted. Wheels have been polished and painted. Frame cleaned and scrubbed and the GSXR shock fitted (supplied by Crazymofo) Drag bars and riser also fitted and the forks installed.
