*Not a fighter* ZX9R track hack

Some shots shortly after I picked it up. Got it as is.
Work so far was to remove the excessive amount of stickers vomited all over it and to clean it with a toothbrush.
Its neat now but its going to get better.

    To come.
    Polished frame and swinger
Polish the wheels entirely - I originaly polished the outers for the original owner when it was a road bike.
    Polished rearsets
New paint - Despite being a dedicated Kawasaki fan I hate green

All the above can be done for nix in the garage.
    The Wishlist is;
    988cc big bore
    39mm Flatslides
Some sort of GPS chrono and accel / deceleration mapping type dash.
    Ignition advance.
That shit takes money and it has taken me 3 years to come up with the moulah to replace my previous 9 with one that is 12 years old so I'm not holding my breath.

I might be broke but I'm going to have the most blinged out track bike I can create

I've got one of these too......zx9e.trackbike only.
Same race glass too, except mine is purple/green/ black, and definately needs a paintjob. I'm a kwaka fan too, but that green certainly does suck....[^] it's even worse when combined with purple!! What were they thinking??
Maybe the darker green metallic from the GP bike would work better.
There's next to no racing season in the NT/Darwin this year, they are updating the drag strip to international standards,[drag strip runs next to the main straight....shit everywhere] it will be December before the Zx9 gets another thrashing
Get a spy camera and stick it on the inside/bottom of the air ram the next time you're on the track. Perfect shots, and the intake roar is mean at 11K!

*sniff* I used to have one of them *sniff*
It's pretty bloody clean alright [^]
Pull the alternator rotor off Aidypoo, it makes them rev up like a 600 - super responsive but with the big bore grunt. []
Then give it the berries !

Total loss is what you speak of?
How much do you know of this thing?
If doing this then I would need a deep cycle battery - possibly 2 - or else the old yuassa would become a consumable wouldn't it?

Now if it reved like a mental KH100 2 smoke then that I would dig. First track day I dropped 20ml of 2KR castor oil in the tank for "upper cylinder protection" but not for the waft.....much

Have spent the last few weeks agonising over a new colour scheme - read as "I have come home every night and stared at it on the bench with many beers in hand trying to decide what colour and graphics I should attack it with."

    Suggestions are welcome

Keep it the colour it is.
It is an easy indicator for other riders to look out for you on the straights. That way they won't accidentally run into the back of you...

    Boom fucking tish

Since I ride in the slow group the CBR250 riders just have to look out for the bike that is bigger than theirs so most of them dont have a problem.

Going Yella. Only because I have a very good set of Technic leathers that are in that god awful color and against the green I look like some sort of fucked up color blind clown aboard a green bike.
    Still agonising over it but busted out the wet and dry yesterday and started rubbing back the glossy green so now I have to do it. Looking to do something like this;

mixed with this - yellow on black

Got 10kg of urea and been practising with the crystal effect - need to wait for a warm day and away we go.

Also FYI ordered one of these kits that some of you may be interested in for the price http://www.diyfibres.com.au/store/di...protector-kit/

    Been a while.

Now your a bunch of clever cunts. How do I get it registered in fighter form but easily revert it back to track ready?
The wiring harness is complete and so thats all plug and play but since its along time out of rego what requirements need to be met and what can I get away with in terms of lights? Does it need to go back to Vicroads for inspection or can I cross someones palm with silver to get a RWC?

Got about 6 months worth of catch up on the forum to read so I'm off to do that now.....Can someone have an answer before I get back? LOL
