    Lets see your Lid then!

This is my imported ROOF Le Mans. Not approved for Oz roads (like I care). Its a beautiful helmet, light, sexy and angry looking. Great ventilation and the visor sits nicely when you have it like 30% open or something, unlike many helmets that you are constantly friggin around with the visor coz the wind keeps shutting it. Id buy another ROOF tomorrow, highly recomended. [8D]

Nah Gibbo, they are a german brand simply called BANDIT. The Simpson Bandit is different. These BANDIT models you have shown are road legal and have the wider visor area whcih is why Simpson bandit helmets are illegal (supposedly).

Road Legal? Are they available in Aus ? off the Bandit site it says

Bandit XX Helme are homologated in USA : DOT FMVSS No. 218.
(Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 218, USA, for Motorcycles)

DOes this mean it is also DOT road legal in Aus?

Not up on all the Legal Helmet bizz but would like a fighter lid

WHat other legal streetfighter styles are available is Aus ?

Sticker inside says SNELL80, as in "1980"
So I don't like to use it much !
Got 2 new Shoei-XR1000's in a deal when I bought the Busa.

I also used to have a Paul Waldron "WAR BONNET"
(Si might remember Paul Waldron, he used to make one piece
body kits for GSXR's back in the UK, I think he did one for Robbie
    Bulger, not sure)

Mine was Matt Black with a Jet-Black visor.

WAR BONNET was his copy of a Simpson,
but lower at the front, and still using a Simpson visor.
The WORST helmet i have ever owned... But... I LOVED IT [8D]
(but then it did come with NO stickers / labels / or anything,
just a bit of paper saying "SHOW USE ONLY"
Nightmare to do even 70mph, but..... Everyone loved it, and it turned heads like you wouldn't belive (except mine, no looking over the shoulder with
    that f*cker on!)

Wish i'd kept it. Its still sat in the box with the NOS kit I
sold a mate before i left the UK.

I figure the chances of me coming across a cop that recognises whether a helmet is approved or not at a glance is about the same as me finding a cop who asks if I wanna share a joint coz he liked my wheelies so much... So I dont really stress over aprovals....

Mine is registered for UK and EU and I doubt their heads are any different to ours... just not as good looking..
