    Bingara or Bust

Alright boys and girls, its time to stop talking and start riding. Bingara, southwest of Inverell, is the destination, the 26th of June is the date. Staying at the Sportsman's Hotel Saturday night. Ph. 0267241880. Ring up and book yourself a room. Only persistant rain or blizzard will stop us from going so breakout the cold weather gear and put some anti-freeze in the radiator. We'll be leaving from Lismore Railway Station at 9am. Accommodation will be available at my place at Byron Bay Friday night if you want it. If you are coming from the coast Saturday morning be at the servo on the road into Byron(3k's from the highway) before 8.30 and we'll pick you up there. My number is 0407927982 if you have any questions, otherwise reply to this post and I'll reply back with the answer.

Click this link Terry and drag the blue line around to the route you propose: http://maps.google.com.au/maps?f=d&s...754333&t=h&z=9

I think this is the route terry was thinking of, the road from Grafton to Ebor is one of my favourite sections of road, so if your a pussy and don't like corners you best stay at home, also, although it looks like highway we'll be on the back road on the western side of the the highway from Woodburn to Grafton.
I'll be leaving my place at Tallebudgera Valley, Gold Coast, Friday evening if anyone wants to take terry's offer for a bed Friday night at Byron Bay, your welcome to follow me down.

That's bad luck Joe, I'v had a few stints in the past without a licence so I know how you feel.
Stuart, as far as I can tell its all tar, however Terry will ring the local PO to find out for sure and if so we'll take another route.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure there is a fair bit (50ks+) of dirt across there, well there was last time i went through there but that was over 15years ago.

I have been checking roads and the way we want to go has 20k's of good dirt. There are alternate ways so don't let a few stone chips stop you from coming. The trip from Lismore to Bingara is 475k's. We should be in Grafton about 11am. We'll meet at McDonalds at South Grafton. Depending on the weather we will choose our route from there to Bingara. On Sunday we will head north to Tenterfield. The Queenslanders can either head north from there or do the Bruxner Highway to Casino(highly recommended) before heading home. Friday night at my place is still the go. Any other questions will be answered asap.

I'm pretty sure that if you got through Guyra to Inverell, then down to Bingara there's no dirt. The back way from Armidale has about 20km's of dirt road.
