I also finished off the radiator & fan mount.I went to paint them & realised I was out of Black so that's tommorow's job. I also whipped up a Radiator guard, which is off to the powdercoaters tommorow.[8D]

You just want to make the rest of us jealous at the range of tools and bits you have on hand aren't ya Ben
Nice work by the way.
The postman ( who I now call Santa) also bought my hose covering & anodised ends. Like I said a good day.
I live for my tool's............. Yes it is a sad existence I live.[^]quote:chalk10 Posted - 01 Mar 2007 : 20:54:35

What sought of cash do these items demand? and the ends Ben do they have be crimped of on to the hoses or is it a screw fitting
[^]I have a lot to learn
it just slides over the rubber hoses, and the ends have hose clamps in em.
you can get cheap kits from auto pro and places like that.
Ah sweet thanx m8 , I have like the look of these for a while now and thought that they would be worth a fortune
Yes they cover the existing hose. I use this type of thing on hoses that have moulded bends in them, because you can't get moulded braided hose, (that I know of) & straight braided hose won't conform to the tight bends you need.quote:So these just cover the original hoses then , for looks

The ends have hose clamps built into them.
About $200-$300 to do the main rad hoses, although there is cheaper kits around I like the look of the better quality stuff.
wow ben that is going to be one sweet looking ride i have a cutom sv1000 and love the motor but i have just picked up a gsx750 ex cop bike for the project i only hope if comes out half as good as your tl is going to look . (hopefuly better than half as good)
that bike is so god damn horn its not funny...
absolute bike porn. you make it look so easy!

Cheers Ben when you explain it like that I can understand the reason for needing the factory hoses , I think that they may also be for me
This kinda shows what I mean.
Ok so I got some more black paint today & sprayed the rad & my very kind Powdercoater coated the Rad guard same day for me.[8D]
Tonight was beer & Radiator hose night.[)]
Here's a better shot of the hoses & you can see the ZX10 fan squeezed in the top .
Looking great mate. Gee i been doing the sums in my head as you have been posting pics. Bet you have well and truely burned a hole in the $ from the bitza!!!
By contrast the other side looks quite bare. (For now anyway).
I wanted to keep the frame clean looking so I ran the top hose inside the frame instead of the standard position up the out side & through the hole.
Ummm.......yes... well & truly Nath.quote:Slingblade Posted - 02 Mar 2007 : 23:20:26

The radiator setup looks factory! Really nice.
Any plans for the ram air holes? Just some mesh covers???
I am not convinced about the front fender. Looks a bit big for the light unit(in my opinion). Might be less noticable once the paints done, carbon fenders tend to look huge.
Cant have you thinking you are bloody perfect!!
Everything else is sublime.............as usual.
