Tls fighter
So just to add to 'too many projects' Last year i procured a bike off of boxer a mate of his or he was selling, either way i grabbed it as i couldnt bring myself to rip apart my good one.
the original sale thread with pics

Smokey motor? Out it came, 1100 barrels and pistons procured carrillo rods new fancy crank to allow bigger bearings (the weak spot), heads at present being sorted should be ready to go in in the next couple of months funds willing
I had grabbed a sett of carrozzeria wheels off Ben a few years ago that needed somewhere to go so after finally finding a bike, i got Ben to mill up some spacers and a bxp rear sprocket to fit into the now underbraced rear swinger

Just happened to get what looks like a Valiant in the photo as well. Talk about toys mate!
-
Good to see it coming along mate. Should be good when done.
-
Not too impressed with your choice of frame chocks, but it looks like it might be a nice looking bike with those wheels.
-
Ahh hillsy its a dead battery, theres a pile just out of picture of the fuckers just waiting to go to the scrap yard and with an insulating piece of wood on the top, she'll be right....
Ozzy ... get fucked you know you want me
Too many Si and too many are projects hence the need for all the extra workshop space
-
This was a buddy of mins bike good to see that your doing something with it
-
fuck you mick .you beat me to those wheels from ben lol ,i had convinced the wife to get them for my 40th and she wanted to see how much dosh i got from family so she knew how much to put in and you beat me by two days ya bugger !!
like the swinger mod , its convinced me that the one im getting done will look good aswell
hmm that battery looks like an RACQ 3662 or maybee a 3772 batt!!
-
ahh now i remember where the other sub-frame went ,i gave that along with the headers and some bits n pcs to boxer when he brought it to work one arvo.
-
Oooh Nice work Mick i'll look forward to ahem perpetual updates.. ;)
-
I so have a thing for big hairy men with a sore ass...... :-)
-
Nice start mate, lets just hope it gets finished before the the 'owners of dormant TL-S' thread comes around.

Doing the math with the bigger displacement and the headwork when tuned and sorted should be looking at best around 15% increase in power not sure on torque worthwhile? we will see. All the new engine parts were sourced out of the US from another tl owners project that never got underway
While apart all gears showing wear were replaced as well as new clutch and welded clutch centre ... next a test fitup
-
geez how did I miss this one looking good mick
-
youve been busy getting sponge baths big guy ... you have an excuse, thanks mate
-
Will this one be any more comfy on long runs...
who fucking cares lol top job mick
-
oh yes will be interesting to see she runs mate, well done
-
haha albi theres a word missing, it could be either 'interesting to see if she runs' or 'interesting to see how she runs'
but yeah im keen to get her going, so after a mock up this motor might just go into the black tls until the frames powdercoated and everything else is done then swap them back they are an easy enough motor to swap over
-
yes yes YES!!! any rough prices on the engine mods matey?
150rwhp in a short + updated TL chassis is a sweet little superduke beating combo for sure!!!
what rear shock you planning on running? sure you have some nice options floating around LOL
