The trimmed back seat fit the proportions of the tail better Jim. Getting it covered shouldn't be a big issue either.

Thanks mate, always good to get a second set of eyes on an idea first!
I already have a spare seat pan so I'll try to trim and reshape that to fit the seat ambit better then fill any gaps with some spare seat foam and glue before re-upholstering.
Yea, what Luke said.
YEah; about that.....
I had a bit of a brain snap over the weekend and trimmed a little off an OEM seat unit and off my custom tail to make them fit together better and I'm happy with the result and it's super comfy compared to the trimmed down seat.
Come on Jim, brain snap must be followed up with pictures! Unless that brain snap involved a very large lass, that we don't need :D
Has also given me a known point to work from so now I can see I'm high on one side at the rear and low on the other!
Fucking photo orientation again; apologies all!
Looking good Jim, keep working on it mate ;)
Coming along nicely mate. Keep at it
Yep; what they said.
Round 4 (I think) on the foam....
Bad bad bad case it must be!
Dude, polly waffle! :)
Hopefully start cutting and shaping again tonight; more pictures to follow.
