Anyone recommend a good dealer for these ?? If I'm gonna have to spend $150 on a new stock tap to stop mine leaking I will buy a pingel now as it will be needed in the future.

There are Aftermarket seal kits are available to rebuild your fueltap Russ, Yam. dealers probly wouldn't tell you that tho'
Ring an independant Bike shop (non dealer) & ask 'em about it, beware tho' prices vary wildly & range from about $15 to $75 or so depending on the tap & how many seals, O rings, springs, etc are needed.
If you go for the Pingel, get it from Ebay U.S. It'll be about 1/2 price.
Trouble is mate I've tried that and not found anyone that lists one for the XJR. Even tried UK shops too.
I'm trying to get a price for an adaptor plate as,Yes, the taps are cheaper in the US but they're all for 22mm outlet on tractor tanks.
Maybe get a H/D one & adapt it yourself?
What I need is a fooked tractor tank to cut the fitting off. It is 22mm dia but a real fine thread. Don't know if any old jap tanks have the same ? I remember some old Z ones used to have similar ???
sharky, have a look at the pigle stuff on this site. Hope it helps, i have got stuff from them for my 650 and they were really good to deal with

64k in a 60 took me spare cash.....

64 in a 60!!!!! thats fuked up!
And he was sitting right where an 80 changes to a 60 :(
But do they offer anywhere to check ya speedo accuracy.....nooooooooo
its up to you to make sure your speedos recalibrated every so often.
the adr's state a speedo should "indicate the actual vehicle speed, for all speeds above 40kph, to an accuracy of +10%" Which means your speedo said 60, but you were inadvertantly 4k's (less than the legally allowable 10%) over. Fight it.
