I've always wanted a fighter I've had a cbr 1000 but now have a Ducati 1198s for track duties so it's time I started building my dream fighter only problem is I love the gsxr1100 and also the Honda 900rr.. I know the zuki have strong motors and a drag legend footing but the Honda is a wheelie king.

So my first question if u guys can help what's the better base bike in the seance of what's got more aftermarket parts available and simple modification options support base..

I absolutelly love what some of you can do with your bikes and I must have one !!!!!

but........ when it comes down to engineering mods I could not tell a spaner form a screwdriver .... kidding, I am not as bad but I am sure all hell I can not manage properly do any of that you dudes can build


So .............. my question is, is it worth on getting a ready made fighter that I like from another guy, or get a builder to make one ?

what is a good place to look for it ? Recently acquired a 2001 zx9r and more recently came off it. I'm not really a fan of the full fairing look but the bike was cheap and I liked the power.

I took the side fairings off and thought it looked pretty good naked. I put my new fairings search on hold and started looking at other options, which has led me here.

I'm not committed to full streetfighter mode yet, and I'm nooo mechanic, so I'm just doing the mods necessary to make it a presentable, no-frills, naked bike for now. Cheap round headlight and indicators, bar end mirrors (that took some research) and the air box mod (even more research). I'm keeping the stock speedo and mounting it closer. I like the cafe racer look but do like the comfort of higher handlebars so maybe I'll change down the track. It has a shortened AM pipe on it, and I've got a speedoDRD to install to compensate for the sprocket change. It's mostly kwaka green, which is not my favourite colour but it will grow on me.

From past experience (I'm almost 40 BTW) I probably shouldn't be doing this but I can't help myself, I like being different! As long as she goes ok and doesn't look like shit I'll be happy.

Ridden bikes since I was about 4, and grew up on acreage in Sydney's West.. around the Camden area where Mcoy, Miladin and the Goberts are from. Been a pretty good breeding ground for riders.

I raced the Thumpernats back when it was pretty big , on various XR-630's and then raced the first of the YZF's when they hit the market. Stopped racing when I hit 30, sold my dirtbike to my brother and just rode my ZZR1100 around on the streets of Sydney's West.

Cut a long story short - Ive just picked up a really clean VFR750' 95 model.

Ive always loved the sound of the VFR and am embarking on a street-custom build with the help of a good mate who has built some pretty radical bikes in his day... (Harleys, BSA, Triumphs etc). He's looking forward to the challenge ahead , as am I .

So, I'm really excited about the project.
I've been chatting with Hyofighter and he welcomed me here , so thanks for that mate.
I love what he did with his VFR , so Ive been looking closely at his build for ideas and inspiration.
