I'm sure the lads in your area would be only to glad to give you a hand buddy
Cant take the credit for this one Si, I got the idea from another site, and I'm glad I did because I also used the jig to re-finish both front and rear wheels on my latest project the CX Café 500.
Not had any issues with any of the work I've done Si. There were a couple of things I kept an eye on, eg. tank badge circles and infills, but nothing has budged. Only thing I've had to do is service it and replace fork oil seals, and to be honest, if I kept the front wheel on the ground I wouldnt have had to replace those.
That little bit extra in making the wheel jig really pays off hey? I remember having mine on it's side the whole time and got through many rags / towels and swearing episodes.
Brilliant! Thanks Jon. I might have to do that when I actually get my bike finished. Cheers mate. The simple touches with detail make the bike!
A solution with no welding yet used the strength of the frame - intriguing. Has a the last few years riding made any impact on the frame itself where it touches? Curious as this would run through my mind.
Yeah +1 on the glass one
you should do a fiber-glassing one with all the pics and stuff from your cafe tail.
