Inertial Dyno's have THE GAIDS.... Check out the cooling fan[xx(]

"As I never got around to calibrating the unit, the results are in StevePowers even though the graphs say Horsepower".
Bahahaha good on him ..
"Do some base runs, do a mod, do some more runs and check for an increase or decrease in performance. The actual number means nothing, the difference before and after does."
Well he got that right.... :D
By the sound of it the dyno DOES NOT have Data Acquisition, well good on him i have read about this before and he had a good crack at it but alas never finished

I think what he means is that it will tell you absolutely fuck all about your bike as it is now. If however you do run your bike on it 'as is' then modify your bike and run it again it will tell you if it has increased performance or decreased. Therefore I would imagine pretty useless to anyone who is not a bike mechanic or someone who has a lot of bikes that does a lot of mods to them.

I guess it would be good for someone who makes custom parts like exhausts etc also.

Yup jack thats what i was saying without saying anything...
Without the data stuff you could never know you Air:Fuel ratio ..... Danger Town .. Its all fine getting another 10 pony's but if its only going to do 1 lap of the block there's not much point is there...
AFR metre's are cheap as bro ... you can get a really good one for around $200 and that would be a good fix for the lack of data stuff..

Or buy it and put all the Data Ac on that comes with it...

LOL... been thinking about building one of these for a couple of years now,
biggest prob is getting someone to machine the drum accurately with the indexing teeth cut at the same time, design and programme to run it are available on the net.
i'd be intersted at 2500 but not 4k ...
just happen to have some suitable logging stuff too... ;)

By the looks of it he has the data dyno 46 which after a quick search is a data aquisition system . It wolud need some one with a good grasp on electronics and programing.
