The Teutonic Fighter

Gix11
10-08-2005, 12:07 PM
I thought a bit less teutonic than normal mind Chalk. Check that back end.......

10-08-2005, 02:24 PM
True it doesn't have the usual 'peacock tail' look of most german fighters.
But that's a MAJOR improvement in my books.
Hopefully others in Deutschland will follow suit :)
And it is very tasty in basic black.
hmmmm a couple of iron cross here and there would top it off nicely (or am I getting a bit rabid right-wing here)

badvan
10-08-2005, 04:54 PM
Hey m8's plz try to write in "easy" english ;o)

badvan
10-08-2005, 10:08 PM
hehe THX but who is Helmut???
I think Helmut will make a long and dangerous trip in the outlands with me... and perhaps i will be back alone?!? *harhar*

Hope Helmut isnt a member of this Forum :)

11-08-2005, 08:38 AM
Ha Ha, some people just never stop do they Andy.

I think that Helmut is either the fictional boyfriend of Andy (a bloke by the way), or Davo's very own secret fantasy (That's not you in the copper suit with Oz is it Davo? "You vill call me Helmut, und you vill go down on your knees"). :)

Auf wiedersehen m8

Nice bikes! Zrx, Bandit, gixxer.... same stuff then here.. I see a lot of u use the MX mask... This style looks like the stuntriders style in germany. I like it! But the light are very bad! U cant see anything in the night..
What did you do with the engine of the ZRX? I worked for 1 Year at a Kawasakidealer and we sold olot of the ZRX!
What is the bigest event for fighters in australia? And when? I just have to ask about prices for shipping my bike to australia. So i can ride, drink, ride , drink, ride drink, meet friends, drink, burn, drink, learn more english, drink and perhaps i take a ride on a kangaroo ! ;)

you blokes are crazy Van,our next meet is in 2 days so we'll try to match your quality burners. only problem is we come from all over the east coast of Australia so we need them tyres to get home again. The streetfighter cult is not very old in Aus,but its catching on fast. We could do with some quality German fighter builders over here, because parts are expensive an not much avaliable that isnt a standard item unless your wallet is loaded and your an engineer. we rely on imported products to create most of our machines so feel free to send us some parts:D.how long has it taken you to build your bike??? mine was standard untill about 3 months ago,it's still nuthing special, but its a fighter.post ya some pictures after the weekend ride(because i dont have a camera).
p.s Andymac and helmut are both just fictional characters, sorry to get your hopes up.but if you decide to visit Australia i'm sure we could accomodate you and who knows, you might just meet the girl of your dreams.
cheers
Davo.;)

Nice one Badvan. I have seen a decent Fighter party since the Isle of Mann 8 years ago! We're missing it over here, I can tell ya!

ozkat
11-08-2005, 08:52 PM
i bet they dont have someone doing the undie jump tho.

11-08-2005, 09:37 PM
if we can teach Van English,we can teach him how to Undie Jump.
Boh,give me your keys an i'll show ya how good a Ducaty looks on fire, with 12 stubbies hangin out the rear wheel.an bring that undertray to Coffs,it'll help get the bonfire started.

ozkat
11-08-2005, 09:56 PM
ive got plenty of matches:D;)

badvan
11-08-2005, 10:02 PM
whats a undie Jump????

The problem with the tires is easy in germany.. if u go to a fighter meeting there is a place where u can change tires for 5 Euros.. Just old an used tires but funny to kill 7-8 Tires in a weekend ;)

I found the girl of my dreams but she is poor *hehe* I need another rich one in down under, so i can life half of the year in germany withaout speelimited highways and other half year down under with the kangaroos *hehe*

isle of man is funny! Mad days and lot of Party... But the beer is *xxx* I prefere the german beer ! :)

The problem with the parts is easy.. u can make this by own... lamination is not really hard! If u need parts from germany (theres alot of) i can buy and send it to you, but i think the shipment is to expansive..

Would be nice if i can life in down under and open a small company which sells fighter parts!
But its verry hard to get a visa or something that allowes me to life and work in australia.

And first i have to learn english *lol*

11-08-2005, 10:24 PM
5 euro's for tyres is just mad Bad.mate if i can find you an Aussie wife i will let you know, coz thats all you need to become an Aussie.but a photo would sure get the ball rolling.we'd love to have a German parts importer on our side because our fighters are very average compared to yours. If you decide to come here for a holiday, let me know because you can stay at my house free of charge an there's plenty of potential wives where i live,an some even speak German. will take you a while to get used to the heat over here mate, but i'm sure you'd fit in eventually. i have a few German mates who'd be glad to help you out.

11-08-2005, 10:26 PM
p.s. the Undie Jump is hard to explain, you have to see it to believe it.

badvan
11-08-2005, 10:48 PM
hehe... The problem is i have a girlfriend! And i cant leave germany without her... And i dont know its possible for us booth to life in australia! To many laws i think. I asked a friend and he told me that it is possible to life there if somebody give me a job !! before!! i leave germany!
So i think it will be only a dream.. But in next summer i will make my vacations in down under and it would be very nice to meet or life for 3 weeks with a couple of people with the "Virus" in it :)

LoL i dont know u can understand what i write but i hope *hehe*

Ps. if u find a rich nice looking girl that want to mary me i will come without my..... ahhhh noooooooo if she read this im dead ! ;o)

Is there any pics of the Undie Jump?

11-08-2005, 10:57 PM

From there up to cape york and then to the gulf of carpentaria.
coopers from south australia was his favorit drink in down under.

15-08-2005, 06:54 PM
Do you like the heat or not?

QUEENSLAND
January = stinking hot
February = not so stinking hot..................some days
March = just hot
April = starting to become temperate/mild
May/June/July/August/September = nice and pleasant
October = getting hot again

CANBERRA
January = stinking hot (up to 40 degrees C)
February = stinking hot most days
March = Hot to very nice
April = very nice
May = definitely more than a chill in the air at night
June = holy snapping assholes! where'd all that ice come from?
July/August = Cold, damned cold,............and then some more cold (down to -9 C, but every day is sunny)
September = not so damned cold............................some days
October = not so damned cold
November = warming up during day
December = warm-to-hot days and nights.

NEW SOUTH WALES
Somewhere in between Canberra and Queensland.

VICTORIA
January/February/March/April/June/Julyetc etc etc = 4 seasons every day, but generally more pleasant than London.

WESTERN AUSTRALIA
What's a season?

NORTHERN TERRITORY
2 seasons only, Wet and Dry.
Oh and the crocodiles up there just love tourists, mmm yum.

SOUTH AUSTRALIA
Nah too far south to worry about :)
Actually South Australia has a very large German population, probably explains why they make some of our best wines. Generally a dry and temperate-to-hot climate.

Canberra is about 1400 kilometers south of the Queensland border, and up in the mountains, so the wheather pattern is somewhat different. Melbourne (capital of Victoria) is about 700 kilometers south of Canberra. Oh and Sydney (capital of New South Wales) is about 300 kilometers north of Canberra.
Australia's population is mainly concentrated on the East coast, within about 200 kiolometers of the coast line, so you can start at the top and travel down, or the other way.
There are some bits that are outside this region, such as The Rock, which is in the middle of a desert, in the middle of the country, and a thousand kilometers from anywhere.

badvan
15-08-2005, 07:08 PM
wow!! Do you work in a travel agency??? ;)

Hot is ok... but the humidity is hard for me.... I need 2-3 weeks to Accustom

I think may or june will be best for me...

And now i will save each month a little bit money for next year..
Tonight i will look for the flight prices to down under... you have an idea what is the cheapest airline?? Whats about Quantas?

15-08-2005, 07:31 PM
Humidity isn't a problem at all in Canberra, it's as dry as.

Same with South Australia I believe.

It can get humid in Melbourne(Victoria), but it's not as hot as Queensland or Canberra, so it's quite tolerable. The south coast of Victoria is magic in summer, and I hate the humidity as well.

Your'e best route might be to start in either South Australia or Melbourne, and make your way north over a week or two. That way you will acclimatise quickly and easily. And Queensland in summer is what you really want to see if you come this far. Mid year can get pretty cold in many parts of Australia, it was -13 about 300 kilometers north of here over the weekend.

I don't work fo a travel agency, but in the 20 years I have been in Australia I have ridden through most of the East Coast. And that is definitely the best way to see it :)

15-08-2005, 07:36 PM
If you come through this way I can put you up for a few days, plus I might be able to organise an extra bike to play on :) How do you feel about 80's big bore Japanese?

badvan
15-08-2005, 07:41 PM
i just take a quick look at the prices..

from Frankfurt to dunk island from may 10. -may 30. it will cost 3379,00€´= 5448.08 AUD!!!!!!!!!

They are crazy!!!!!!!!!

perhaps any of you is a owner of an heli or something else??? :)

THX Chalk i will look for a trip u told me.. It is a lot of time to cr8 a good route for this trip! And i hope i will meet some of you guys there!

badvan
15-08-2005, 07:50 PM
he this sounds good m8!
What kind of japanese? Z's? CBX?

It would be a pleashure for me to put up any of u in my house too!
But i cant belive thats someone wants a trip to germany *lol*

15-08-2005, 08:07 PM
Probably Z or GSX.

After looking at some of those party pics of yours Germany's looking pretty good.

Plus one of my Grandmother's is German. Name of Michalick I think.

15-08-2005, 08:46 PM
You don't want Dunk Island mate, that's way out no-where.

Look for Melbourne/Sydney/Brisbane or Perth, in that order.

I just checked with these guys http://www.wefly.co.uk/

and they have a flight Berlin - Melbourne (12 May to 24 June 2006) for 1900 English Pounds, which is still ridiculously expensive.

BUT if you fly from London the price drops to under 700 English Pounds. How far are you from london mate?

badvan
15-08-2005, 08:53 PM
Michalik is a rare name but i heared sometimes before..
London i can fly by a cheap airlane for 50-100 Euros thats would be no problem... But it takes longer because london is on right side and i must fly left :)
1900pounds is for 2 or 1 person?

15-08-2005, 08:58 PM
1900 is for 1 person

Sorry mate but I don't understand the right/left thing.

badvan
15-08-2005, 09:11 PM
the price i wrote is for 2 person...
I will ask some prices this days.. I dont want to pay more then 2000.- Euros for 2 person for flight only.

What i ment with right and left:

"London"-----------"Me"------------------------------------- "You"
So i have to fly to London first and London is more far away from you then germany.. But a flight to London takes only 1 hour and so it will be 2 hours more then a direct flight to down under.. if the price is ok, i will fly 2 hours more, np!

badvan
15-08-2005, 09:35 PM
Here some german Z's and GSX

Like the minimal look of that bottom one.

I've been looking at an early GSX11 that would suit something along those lines :)

badvan
15-08-2005, 10:39 PM
Yes thats a good choice! Put a Bandit 1200ccm in and u have a lot of fun with a bike like this!

Gix11
16-08-2005, 01:02 PM
Badvan. When I flew to England in June I too had to fly an hour down to Sydney to catch the international flight. Doing this saved me $1200. It was a pain, but well worth it. Head to Heathrow (London) and fly from there mate. As for that Z1 with the GSXR/bandit motor that's in there, that fuckin' awesome. Love it. Looking again, that frame seems to braced for a Z. I'm guessing it was a Zephyr yea?

badvan
16-08-2005, 04:11 PM
the green one is a Kawasaki ST frame. This frame is broadly enough for the swingarm and the lightcon 9x18 wheel with a 240 tire...

Yes i think the best way to fly is from me to London and then down under.. its cheaper! I wrote some mails to travel agencys and asks for prices for flights or flights with a rental car included...
Hope one of them will sell a flight for max. 2000.- Euro for 2 Person...

badvan
16-08-2005, 04:47 PM
If someone interested in fighter parts u can look out this links..
If you want to buy something i can do it for you! Mostly cheaper then at the Homepages.. Shipping prices i have to ask for..

A lot of :) Have fun *hehe*

Hey Fimp, you gonna go the "whole hog" on the Destroyer bits, headlight/tail/fender/spoiler? [}:)]

If you don't I might [^] , damn that guy has some tasty gear [:p] , just a pity the prices aren't Oz $'s.

i think even the destroyer tail with the bug spoiler would look pretty trick

but it'd atract too much attention for my liking
i was thinking of something like the "pitbull" one

just short and slightly high would be sweet
but that destoyer, i could see it running SV style LED tail-lights up the horns...

damn thats nice!!!

11-09-2005, 05:59 PM
I like that Zombie one. Think the 7/11 might get that...

11-09-2005, 06:17 PM

Sry m8's, but to find out the shipment costs isnt easy. Better way is u check costs by UPS Feedex or something else.. Only price i found was for a 10 KG pack= 286 EURO!!!!!!!!!!

But the didnt shown me is it airfreight or sending by ship...

fimpBIKES
19-09-2005, 05:55 PM
i have been emailling a few german blokes

about 60 euro was the average shipping cost
but transfer the money over there costs another $30

i think it'll be cheaper to get from a guy in the states cos he accepts VISA
he has it in stock too :)

check it out fella's
his names Jim, seems like a decent bloke on the phone

badvan
20-10-2005, 07:54 PM
Hi Gix11 m8

the prices for shipment:

5KG (the mask incl. the lights is 3,8 KG) by Ship is 37 Euro and takes 4-5 weeks
Same with airfreight is 58 Euro and takes 10-14 days..

This is with DHL

Angry Guy
20-10-2005, 11:27 PM
Hey fimp, What's with all the negativity???I told you I didn't have that one in stock, so you knew I was getting it from germany.I apologize if it didn't get that as fast as they told me they would get it there, I truly was told they would get it there as fast as I told you.Yes we do get most of our stuff from germany, they have the best products, and we don't make anything like that here.If you don't want to get parts from me that's fine, but no need to cut anybody down.I thought I was up front with you, about everything, if I can find the parts cheaper you know I will. But, if you guys can get a better deal with going through badvan, you do it, what ever it takes to get these parts out and on bikes, do it.With time things for us will get quicker, hopefully cheaper, and more styles.

Angry Guy
20-10-2005, 11:31 PM
Hey Badvan, EXCELLENT STUFF, maybe someday we will be able to put something together that nice, alot of cool ideas. The streetfighters coming out of gemany are always great, I love the style.I'll keep an eye on your site for all your new bikes, and look forward to see what you come up with next.

badvan
20-10-2005, 11:37 PM
THX angry! If i right that u buy the parts from brändy? I know him very good and his store is close to my hometown :)

badvan
21-10-2005, 12:28 AM
cant see ur answer....

fimpBIKES
21-10-2005, 07:31 AM
hey angry,
settle down some!

my first post there about u buying them from europe was before i even knew u!!

i was just saying that it is silly for someone in oz to buy stuff of someone in
the states if it come from europe.
which it is when u think about it. the fact that your price can even come close
to being competitive with the euro guys goes against any logic i could think of!!

but hey, turns out your prices ARE competitive!!
if the stores in europe want to charge me way to much postage then i dont want them to have my
hard earned $$$

im much happier to give it to you angryguy (even though i guess in the end they get some of it anyways,
but thats not the point ;) )

i really dont mind about the time thing, i've had a few weeks off anyways cos of my eyes
i guess that the only thing that has worried me was when badvan mentioned the fake pitbull
but sounds like he knows where u get your stuff from anyways now, so its all sorted

i mean, could u imagine paying all that money and waiting...
then u get a destroyer tail where the horns dont line up!!! it'd look stupid LOL

nah, all is good jim
no need to go snappy, u really are angry arent ya :P

did u end up getting in contact with the supplier in the end? i still think that cunstoms in oz
have it held ransom... bitches
but if u could just get me a tracking number or something i could call em up ;)

Gix11
21-10-2005, 11:42 AM
Badvan - sounds good mate. Email me the details (webmaster@streetfighters.com.au) and I'll sort out paying him mate. I'll go the 58 Euro Airfrieght mate. Had too many dramas and delays with the old boat routine!

badvan
21-10-2005, 03:05 PM
ok gix m8 i will ask and email u then... Perhaps any other wants some parts too and we can make the shipment together, so its shared costs?!

Other question... i saw yesterday that angry set a last post at 23:39 but i cant read it... there was nothing?!

21-10-2005, 09:10 PM
he might have edited his original post Ralf.at the top of his post it will have date posted but down the bottom it might have date edited.;)

badvan
21-10-2005, 10:39 PM
ahhhh now!!!! THX M8

21-10-2005, 10:42 PM
no worries m8,how many euro's for your leather thing/

Angry Guy
21-10-2005, 11:45 PM
Hey Badvan,I just got back from out of town, so I'll answer your question. We get our stuff from Brandys, they are good people to work with, we were getting it from Bimbo's, but to slow and alot of miss communications(I don't speak to much german), been awhile since I was there, 1981-1983 in Giessen.Anyway it sounds like your bashing us for getting parts from germany, hopefully I'm just reading it wrong, but you guys have the best stuff out, and I'm happy to sell it here.I do not have the talent to fiberglass parts like that, so I have to get them from somewhere. As far as the prices, they are expensive, and with the way the euro goes up and down, it's hard to keep it current. If I buy parts back in january of 2005,my exchange rate is 1.33u.s. to 1.00euro, so if a part is 599.00 euro it will cost you $796.67, now if you buy it now it's $718.80.The other charges are $40.00-$60.00 for money wire transfer, or bank fees for sending money over there. Then you have shipping costs, to send the tail section to fimp in australia was $100.00u.s.that is what I was charged by Brandys for shipping, not complaining it's just the fact of all the charges that add up, not all shipping costs are that much. The standard profit for parts is 30%, that's pretty much everywhere.
