I've done a little searching and have found it is a 1969 Suzuki A70. My parents have owned it for about 16 years and it ran for maybe a year at most as a yard bike when we lived on an acre. It is a 2 stroke rocking about 70cc. and has a fair bit of bent parts on the right side from where my brother crashed it 10 years ago.

What I am thinking is
Paint in silver metallic.
Short single seat, current seat is ripped and the foam is shagged.
Custom rear sets, current pegs are just a bar welded to the bottom of the frame, and are bent.
Upside down dirt bike bars, current bars are bent.
Carby clean and rejet.
Possibly 12v conversion, it's running 6 volt, LED's would be very nice.
Replace rear suspension with chrome coilovers.
Bar end mirrors. (If they are legal that is)

Polish the chrome bits and replace all the consumables.

First hurdle is to get it running again.

Poor little Suzuki.
Just when it thought life couldn't get any worse,
Along comes this weeks fashion.... :(

Here is a better idea of what I am thinking. I want to keep everything reversible, so I won't be chopping the tank or frame and I won't be throwing the original parts. I'm not entirely sure if I want an expansion chamber as it may ruin the look.

20 years before it was made. Cool comes and goes but boring is forever.

I think it is pressed and the edges are welded then curled over eachother, there is a massive seam running around the entire frame of mine. I'm pretty sure it was a mass produced scooter in Thailand at some stage.

Yeah, wasn't unusual on smaller, older Jap bikes,
the Yam FS1E was probably one of the most common / popular ones..

Seen scabby old 250LC's go for 3 times the price of clean tidy CBX550's and KH400's.
Doesn't need to be the best bike, just needs to have a place in folks "happy place" memories.
Old farmers buy little Grey Fergie tractors, born again boy racers buy RS and Mexico Escorts.

A world gone topsy turvy. There is always the vultures in the trees watching for how they can punt off old shite based on emotions. Fuck, my first ever flipped wheelie as a pillion was on a Fizzy. Fun times.

My father and I decided against Caféing it, well more along the lines of argued about it but whatever. Our plans clashed too much, he wanted this and I wanted that and what I liked he didn't etc, etc... So we came to a stalemate and ended up agreeing to restore it to factory with the exception of a 12v upgrade. It's a cool little classic scooterbike and there is no need to fuck with it.

So instead, we're looking for something else to mess with >=) Something less classic, something cheap with a little more go.

My Dad works as a truck driver and delivers goods interstate, he has spotted a few cheapies here and there, both dirt and road but nothing really eye catching.

I'm thinking a 90's 250-4 pot, he's thinking a 80's 500-twin.

I wish. Unfortunately we don't have funds or room for 2 and dad is hardly home to have time for 2 bikes. It would be great but not possible at present.

I'm thinking Streetfighter, he's thinking Cafe so it all comes down to what presents itself first.
