right looks like its not what you know but who you know...... Just so happens I have made friends with one of the best racers australia has ever seen and has been heavly involed in the usa in nitro( he is atm trying to turn the 1st set of nitro cases to run 200mph in the world into a coffee table charger and all :-). ) to top it of he is the head of the kawasaki soup nazi's and trust me there isnt a thing about a z that this fucker dosnt know.....
So what do you do when offered the chance to play with some really cool toys learn lots and pay for some of a motor that you really dont want to know will be worth buy the end ( new old stock magnesium clucth basket of unatainiume etc)

arm is fabed dan, solid pivot to suit the m16 cap bolts that bolt from the outside and just clamp arm into place because its rigid
this arm is a copy of a kosman and is pretty much the way this type bike was made back in the day.
the spine fuel tank and rake was done by someone else but will be some thing I wouldnt mind trying when the opp arises

Hey Lynton good on yer. I'm blown away by hydroblasting and have been looking into this a lot lately. There's a guy in the US by the name of Rick Paul that sells hydroblasting cabinets for less than $2000 USD. When I looked at his cabinet it occurred to me that this cabinet is identical to my sandblast cabinet. I'm into negotiating supplying the parts that can turn my dry blast cabinet into a wetblast cabinet. Watch this space. By the way you lucky jammy bastard ;)

small update
progress is being made on the wet blaster rebuild but at a cost :-( mainly one broken pump impeller when I striped the pump unit
to fix the 3 phase motor bearings. All is not lost thankfully found a Qld surplier of this machine (very helpful I might add )
The bloke I was talking to has had this same modle for 30 yrs and yes you can buy parts, impleller for less than $300 (thank fuck for that) and can still buy new for 13k
as I dont have 13k best I feix this one

Some how I think they got their moneys worth out of the hopper
http://i1136.photobucket.com/albums/n493/ozzy1100/null_zps16149167.jpg (http://s1136.photobucket.com/user/ozzy1100/media/null_zps16149167.jpg.html)

Some donated 1.6 s/s sheet (would have loved something a bit thicker but free is free) I probbly shouldnt have been drunk
when I cut it with some turbo shears ( powered tin snips ) as the hrs of tig would have been easier but then I wouldnt have beeen pissed and what fun is that....
http://i1136.photobucket.com/albums/n493/ozzy1100/null_zpsaf2c7cfe.jpg (http://s1136.photobucket.com/user/ozzy1100/media/null_zpsaf2c7cfe.jpg.html)

All that work and hassel just to get to those two fucking bearings thank fuck one was well and truly fucked cause I would have cried like a little girl if I went though all that for nothing ( and answering to scotty after I told him I wouldnt touch the pump lol )
http://i1136.photobucket.com/albums/n493/ozzy1100/null_zps0dec4e97.jpg (http://s1136.photobucket.com/user/ozzy1100/media/null_zps0dec4e97.jpg.html)

Last but not least I picked up a new toy. Well it would have ended up as land fill so I gave it a home......
my new bike lift. Its well in need of some loving and Ill prob wish I left it where I found it (I a room of acid no joke lol) but when the price is turn up and take it away who am I not to do just that...( the hydrulics are worth enough) even if I only use the one ram left working the unit was rated at 2 ton

story time before the bonox kicks in
so our hero has one of those days. He then finds a cool fresh drink in his hands, his son fast asleep.
what to do with his time he asks...well lets finish the digital read out on the qwill of the mill.
All the hard work had been done. All the mounts made and the lot test fitted to the $40 halfco read out he fucked makeing them.
Still he thought $80 and some time was a very small price to pay for the benifit of such things.
Like clock work it came together, all bonded and the use of thread locker liberal.
A master peice, a triumph, a complete and fucking cock up..........

How the universe reminds how dumb we really fucking are. All works a treat and I really am happy with what I did but tell me please how the fuck I drilled the holes at the wrong end and its upside down. I would just turn the slide up the right way but when I took the slide of the last one that is what fucked it. So there you have it ever time I use the fucking thing I will think to myself your not as smart as you like to think you are lynton.......
still cool though for fuck all money

Hey mate I just noticed your mythical project bike hiding behind your aqua blaster there. I also noticed that you're trying to disguise it with red paint but I saw through that. Go Lynton :D

Part of the master plan has been to do away with my old trusty tool trolly that holds a mile of tooling etc for lathe work.
It takes up room and even tho it is mobile, with the chucks and tooling as well as stock on the back side it is fucking heavy and a pain to move other than when it is really needed so to move machinery around workshop. Long weekend spending some nights in the shed with a few cold drinks and the odd cupa I have almost finished the mods to the lathe to take some of the load. The hard part with anything like this is never to forget work flow. It took awhile and some head sratching but I think this is a good comperise.

.

mate i try not to use that much coolent in the first place, its horid stuff at the best of times...
the whole thing cost nothing ( ply was was picked of a pallet of off cuts ) and really it is just slaped together. It took longer to work out how to put stuff for ease of use than it did building. So really at the end of the day by the time it is fucked Ill be a old man or have a better way of doing it.... So short answer I couldnt be fucked, if it rots it rots

Even the smallest things can make like a shit load better
in a work space. 1/4 hr and some scrap I finally got around
to building a third hand. There is no set way to make then as
long as they do two things. Holding pieces in place is the really
handy bit but it's a really cool earth if built right. It seens unlikely
but plate dosnt always pervide a clean earth. This one has a brass
base and silver solder on the tip so it provides a clean earth and no
marks on the job or the bench.

Well in anougher case of it's not but who you know.
I had word out of need for a big piece of plate (2400x900).
I need a piece that big for the lift jig table.
While this isn't big enough for that it still is fucking 25mm t1 plate.
So when asked still want it, well only one answer to give.
Shane and I trotted off to and picked this out dirt where it had been left in
for the last god knows how many yrs. A bit of tlc I think it came up great.
It will become a fixed jig table. I now just have to work out how to drill
all the fucking taped holes in it lol
